It's a little early to play the race card, but the Obama partisans, if not Barack Obama himself, are scared. They don't know what else to do to get their expectations, so carefully nurtured over spring and summer, in line with reality. The mainstream media's ganging up on a pregnant 17-year-old girl didn't work. Neither did the candidate's calling her mother a pig.
After Mr. Obama became the inevitable president, dispatching Hillary Clinton, the inevitable nominee, his cult thought it was going to be a downhill coast to a left turn into Pennsylvania Avenue. Alas, the slam dunk - the favorite metaphor of midsummer - now looks more like a lost ball. Suddenly it's all elbows and rim shots. The politics of hope has been reduced to the politics of merely hopeful.

And Mr. Obama, your character is found to be seriously wanting.
What I really think is scary is that a lot of moonbats are so inflamed of a real honest likeable intelligent person may possibly be the next Vice President that somewhere across America their is either a man or a woman, possibly a small group, they need not be a terrorist group but what they have is pure hatred and rage.
There must be reports of threats to Sarah we are not hearing, or physical threats to her family, and what I find really scary is that some innocent looking person will get close enough to Sarah at these rallies and do her grievous harm.
I fervently hope she has sufficient security 24/7 because she is a threat to many that are misguided or are followers of groups of a political nature that has a lot to lose with her coming along to clean house.
I agree, the left continues to say O is leading. I even read one headline that said McCain in closing the gap when McCain was ahead by 2-3 points.
The two staples the MSM uses to gauge the day-to-day, week-to-week strength or weakness of a campaign are the polls and contributions. I would think those two things are the easiest to manipulate to suit the spin of the campaign reporting them.
Does anybody vouch for the numbers released by a campaign on contributions? With no independent verification it's child's play to release numbers making it look like a campaign is on fire. I'm especially skeptical about the numbers released by Obama recently showed members of the armed services were contributing heavily in favor of Obama, something like six to one. BS.
I think that much of what we see and hear in the heat of campaigns is spun or downright false. They throw it out there, content in the knowledge no one will have the time, or inclination, to check the figures. Besides that, there will be a new round of slanted, spun or downright falsified figures the very next day.
Polls have become nothing but another campaign tool. Along with a clearly biased MSM and the constant deluge of questionable ‘information’ the whole process has become suspect.
Currently, I have high hopes for the future of Lt Col. Allen West of Florida:
Obama wants his supporters to get in the faces of voters. Sounds like voter intimidation of the worst kind!
You have a good point. I just don’t get how their internals don’t square up with the “result”. There may be a grain of truth to some of these polls, I feel like some of them are honest brokers and are really trying to get to the truth. But when you have people answering polls falsely because they don’t want to be percieved as racists, then I am really thinking along your logic, they are starting to look pretty worthless.
My gauge is the reaction to the VP pick for McCain. The more they caterwauler, the more confident I become that rat ship is sinking in shit creek with no paddle.
“his fund raising reports”
He WAS doing VERY well all this past several months.
“Does anybody vouch for the numbers released by a campaign on contributions? “
The FEDERAL Elections Commission does.
But seeing the last few weeks how good the federal government agencies are with numbers and monitoring...
... nothing is sure there. Usually they do not even get to campaign irregularities until several years after an election.
...Until those Obamaniacs are aquainted with the 2nd Amendment a la my Webley .445.
Their civil rights end where the muzzle of my Webley begins.
