ALERT - India: shootout between police and Islamist activists in Delhi
NEW DELHI - A shootout was underway Friday in a Muslim neighborhood in New Delhi between police and Islamist activists, announced televisions, nearly a week after attacks in the Indian capital, who have 24 dead.
The terrorists' location was given to the police by one of their comrades, who was arrested earlier in the week.
Two terrorist escape, two terrorist killed and one terrorist arrested. IBN ...
Two policemen injured in the exchange. Police said more raids are possible.
All of this is happening in the heart of the capital.
I hope the two officers are not seriously injured and that their comrades catch up with the other scumbag terrorists before they can kill any more innocents.
I guess one man’s terrorist is another man’s activist or community organizer or whatever you want to call it.
Police have now say three policemen have been injured.
I don’t like the prospect of this, but I do think folks need to keep an eye on things. England and France for certain need to think about some repatriation at some point IMO. Other nations may need to as well.
As much as I don’t like to face it, I think we’re trying to mix oil and water, and it’s not working.
A lot of folks don’t realize how easy we have it here in the States. Aside from 9/11, we have not had a major terrorist attack in years. The citizens of India, Israel, and many other nations bordering the Middle East have to contend with terrorism on a daily basis. They have to get on the bus or train every day for work, not knowing if the nervous guy across the aisle who has a jacket wrapped around his body is concealing a bomb or if he simply has a cold and doesn’t like going to the doctor.
I wonder if they were instructed to go out and "get in peoples faces"?
Just another day in that part of the world. It's been going on in India for near 1200 years, with an estimated 100,000,000 million Hindi Indians killed over that time.
Islam should have sign like mac Donalds, "over 1 billion killed since Mohammad invented Islam".
And they have the nerve to talk about America's colonization.
You think? We can thank the brainless Politicians over the past 30 years for this. Politicians a century ago knew better. They knew what Islam was. Then came the end of the 19th century, and the century of historical ignorance was born...
Yep! Thomas Jefferson knew it and called it by its rightful name mohammedanism. Oh, and more recently Winston Churchill.
Well we’re pretty much agreed here.
Indian police kill most-wanted terrorist...identified only as Atif, alias Bashir, died in a gunbattle... after suspected militants holed up inside a flat in the Muslim-dominated Jamia Nagar area in southern New Delhi fired on a police team conducting searches in connection with the blasts. "Atif, alias Bashir, a main leader of the Indian Mujahideen and another terrorist, Sajid, were killed during the hourlong encounter with the special cell of the Delhi police," Police Commissioner YS Dadwal told reporters... Another militant, whose name was given as Mohammed Saif, was arrested while two other rebels escaped... The shootout took place six days after five synchronized blasts ripped through markets in the city, killing 24 people and wounding 100. The Indian Mujahideen, a front for the banned Students Islamic Movement of India, and the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba had claimed responsibility for the attacks.

4. Muslim Invasion
Another very important reason for the negative self-image that Indians have got of themselves, are the Muslim invasions. This is still today a very controversial subject, since Indian history books have chosen to keep quiet about this huge chunk of Indian history - nearly 10 centuries of horrors. At Independence, Nehru too, put it aside, perhaps because he thought that this was a topic which could divide India, as there was a strong Muslim minority which chose to stay and not emigrate to Pakistan. Yet, nothing has marked India's psyche - or the Hindu silent majority, if you wish - as the Muslim invasions.
And whatever happens in contemporary India, is a consequence of these invasions, whether it is the creation of Pakistan, whether it is Kashmir, whether it is Ayodhya, or Kargil. There is no point in passing a moral judgment on these invasions, as they are a thing of the past. Islam is one of the world's youngest religions, whose dynamism is not in question; unfortunately it is a militant religion, as it believes that there is only one God and all the other Gods are false.
And so as long as this concept is ingrained in the minds of Muslims, there will be a problem of tolerance, of tolerating other creeds. And this is what happened in India from the 7th century onwards : invaders, who believed in one God, came upon this country which had a million gods... And for them it was the symbol of all what they thought was wrong. So the genocide - and the word genocide has to be used - which was perpetrated was tremendous, because of the staunch resistance of the 4000 year old Hindu faith. Indeed, the Muslim policy vis a vis India seems to have been a conscious and systematic destruction of everything that was beautiful, holy, refined. Entire cities were burnt down and their populations massacred.
Each successive campaign brought hundreds of thousands of victims and similar numbers were deported as slaves. Every new invader often made literally his hill of Hindu skulls. Thus the conquest of Afghanistan in the year 1000, was followed by the annihilation of the entire Hindu population there; indeed, the region is still called Hindu Kush, 'Hindu slaughter'. The Bahmani sultans in central India, made it a rule to kill 100.000 Hindus a year. In 1399, Teimur killed 100.000 Hindus in a single day, and many more on other occasions. Historian Konraad Elst, in his book "Negationism in India", quotes Professor K.S. Lal, who calculated that the Hindu population decreased by eighty million between the year 1000 and 1525, indeed, probably the biggest holocaust in the world's history...
