I'm quite certain that Rep. Kernell, as his own son is being passed around like a beer bong at a College Frat in Federal prison, will take great comfort that he served 'the cause'.
After all, you can't make an omellete without breaking a few eggs. Right?

get independent confirmation from multiple sources before going with a story. A reasonable point.
The Hillbuzz article seems pretty sure, but you are correct that there should be another, independent confirmation.

papasmurf, my old Fredhead friend, that link leads to a blog, not to a newspaper, wire service, network or other “reliable” new source. The blog post has no links, as I said in my original post in this thread.
Now if it had been Ed Morrissey or Allah at Hot Air or some other major blog, I might have believed it. But Morrissey and the top bloggers wouldn’t post something like that without a direct quote from the father or a LE official to Morrissey himself or a link to a news source which had published a story with such a quote in it.
The kid is at the conter of the investigation. He might be the hacker. Based on circumstantial evidence, he appears to be the hacker. But we don’t know that for a fact yet.
There’s no solid smoking gun.

Yeah. Right. I’m sure this kid will live to regret breaking in to her mail. He’s a liberal with a liberal politician father.

UPDATE: Heres what David Kernell, SoetorObamas hacker, had to say for himself:
Earlier it was just some prank to me...
I don't think that's entirely accurate. That statement came from the person claiming to be the one who broke into the account. That person used an email address that matches this kid. Hence, the kid is at the center of the investigation. This statement came out yesterday pretty soon after the story broke. I don't think it's been directly attributed to Kernell yet.
However, with all the tracks that were left, I think we'll know for sure pretty quickly.

So, is he going to be prosecuted, or does the law only apply to common people and Republicans?

That’s not necessarily a quote from the kid, Sal. It’s something the hacker posted on the web.

Your quote is from an internet post last night. It is NOT a confession unless it can be proved that he actually posted it.
Maybe they can, but there is no official statement yet.
Below is the quote from the Tennessee paper. All Kernell is admitting is that his son is being investigated...NOT that his son is guilty. Let's not jump the gun on this one.
Quote from paper...
Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, confirmed that it is his 20-year-old son, David, who is being widely named on Internet blogs and chatrooms in connection with an unfolding story about Palin’s hacked e-mail accounts.

Would tubes of KY be over the top?.....:)) I'm thinking a bunch of glue soaked corncobs rolled in beachsand would send a better message.
And a nice photoshop of him and his son under the bus because that's where Obambi is about to throw him.

Hammer him to the wall. To the absolute max. Make sure nobody else even wants to pull this crap. I live in a city where the asshole sons of Gwen Moore and democrat campaign workers slashed the tires of about 70 rented vans to get RNC elderly voters to the polls. YOu gotta hammer them hard so they won’t actually do it.

I think I ended up on that site before It was linked off of a comedy/newsite posting .....And it had some of the most racist things I have ever seen posted on the web, most of it anti Black.....Also the big thing that was going on was some stupid girl had posted nude video of herself online in what she thought was a closed to public area ..someone on the site found it ,then all the people pounced on her (on the board) they found her facebook page, high school, home phone, they started calling her on the phone, sending links to her homemade porn to her family, friends, her school email address..they were trying to destroy her for fun...it was like a hive of digital detectives/assasins ...
By the way does the whole destruction attack on palin remind anyone else of the old OLD movie Metropolis? I watched it awhile back, and it just dawned on me the strange sort of parallels.

The hacker is David Kernell, the 20-year old son of Mike Kernell, a Democrat and elected state representative in Tennessee They'll call it a "youthful indiscretion," and let him off with a slap on the wrist and a warning to not do it again.

Hope so.
It’d be “great timing” for McCain/Palin and might *possibly* get the public motivated enough to push for investigation/action regarding the ACORN vote fraud that’s already in progress.
