Mod note: Do no post any screenshots of Governor Palin's Yahoo account on Free Republic.
Thank you.
On the heels of media reports that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was using a private Yahoo e-mail account (gov.palin@yahoo.com) to conduct Alaska state business, hackers have broken into the account and posted evidence of the hijack on Wikileaks.
An activist group calling itself anonymous claimed responsibility for the compromise and released screenshots, photographs and the e-mail addresses of several people close to Palin, including her husband Todd and assistant Ivy Frye.

When you have the choice between a Communist and an American, vote American, even if the Communist is a black.

Guaranteed inside job at Yahoo. The left knows no bounds.
It will go unpunished.
The Watergate Hotel
Absolutely.
I have only read this far, but I don’t want to forget my question.
IF the story is true and since her safety is now the responsibility of the Secret Service, is it an offense that will be investigated?
Back to reading....
Was on Fox News this evening.
We can lay some blame on Barbara Streisand for this...she, with many other Osama supporters is an enabler.
I just read the emails that were released. Numerous prayer requests from friends of Sarah and notes of encouragement. From some of the titles they released, she was sharing pics of Trigg and other younguns. Nothing of interest except to voyeurs.
Drudge put this story on top and now I can’t get into Drudge. Am I alone?
freepmail
Profiles are immaterial...I have a yahoo acct that had 4000 emails last time a looked, almost all spam. I never use it, but if I need an email address for something without giving my current I use it. Sometimes you need a buffer acct...that may have been active at one time.
This is the exact same set of circumstances as Watergate, recycled for the online age. If Obama had any hand in it, he is a felon and should be jailed, tried, and convicted.
Wouldn't this be interesting if it turned out to be a black bag job by some Obama plumbers.
I might be canceling my Yahoo account soon.
I also think that this is going to stir up a hornet’s nest even more among conservatives and women. I will be going out and volunteering for the McCain-Palin campaign now!
Obama is a sick guy and very scary.

Now in Paper-Vision: The 4chan Guy

This week’s Time has my profile of moot, the 20-year-old founder of 4chan. I first became aware of 4chan when I failed to credit them as the creators of lolcats, and they got in touch en masse to point that out. Now I see their influence everywhere — 4chan is like a black hole, invisible to the naked eye, but its gravity field is enormous. It’s also like a black hole in that it’s kind of scary.
Towards the end of the piece I mention moot’s real name: Christopher Poole. I figure there’s about a 5% chance that Christopher Poole is in fact not moot’s real name but some incredibly filthy 4chan inside joke. I took the chance because in person moot/Poole comes across as a really nice guy, and if he was playing me he was doing a hell of a good job. But it turns out the Wall Street Journal has the same story — had it shortly before we did, I think — so if we’re going down, at least we’re all going down together.
Anyway my real achievement in this piece was to persuade Time’s copy editors not to capitalize ‘moot.’ So my work is done.
>> And to think FR thinks shed make a great VP.
FR thinks? What, like a Matrix or Borg thing?
If the new standard for candidacy is perfection in one’s private life, there shall be no process for free elections.
Tt's not up to them to pursue criminal charges. The DOJ or whichever department state/federal would pursue the matter irregardless. As you know, the complainant also includes Sarah Palin as she is the one who was directly harmed by this theft of information.
