It's Just a Matter of Time Before Team Obama Tries to Shut Us All Down
Team Obama targeted our own David Freddoso last night. Guy Benson forwards the attack message:
Dear XXXXX,
The author of the latest anti-Barack hit1 book is appearing on WGN Radio in the Chicagoland market tonight, and your help is urgently needed to make sure his baseless lies don't gain credibility.
David Freddoso has made a career off dishonest, extreme hate mongering, even calling legislation to protect people from hate crimes the "Thought Police."2
And WGN apparently thinks this card-carrying member of the right-wing smear machine3 needs a bigger platform for his lies and smears about Barack Obama — on the public airwaves.
Freddoso will be on WGN tonight from 9:00 to 11:00 to promote his new attack book against Barack.
Tell WGN that by providing Freddoso with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse4.
Heaven forbid an Obama critic be allowed to make his case. Drive him from the airwaves! Gather the pitchforks and torches! We'll stand for our values by insisting that the First Amendment does not apply to those who defy The One!
1. Nice of the Obama campaign to admit that Freddoso's book is a hit.
2. If you get sentenced to five years for manslaughter, but seven years for a manslaughter motivated by "hate", are the extra two years for the thoughts you had while attacking someone?
3. Okay, Team Obama. Show us the card.
4. Ed Schultz calling Palin a "bimbo" and Bill Maher calling her "the stewardess" — that's hunky-dory. But a book about Obama and his ties to Chicago corruption — that's lowering the standards!

No, I dont think so. The basic demographics of the country are 40% democrat, 40% republican, and 20% undecided.
The 40% repubs don’t believe this garbage. The 40% dems have always believed it. The 20% of the people are in play. That’s who we have to get more of to realize the facts.

I would say this was simple partisan paranoia if not for the fact that the Obama camp has already attacked and attempted to eliminate various writers and comentators. Neither Bush nor any other GOPer tried to do that in any campaign.
