Were ISN’T ACORN involved in fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications?
To: markomalley
Well, now we all know what community organizers do.

Good thing this is coming out now, rather than after the election, when it would be TOO LATE to do anything about it.

IMHO there should only be one way to register, go down to the local BOE and register in person. I can’t tell you how many times as a poll worked here in Ohio after the motor-voter laws were passed that we had to deal with really angry people who registered when they got their drivers license renewed but didn’t appear on the voter rolls. It was our fault you know. Every application from ACORN should be thrown out in every state because of all of this fraud. If it’s important to you you will make the time to register.

We get all these reports of vote fraud, but rarely do I hear of the perps getting jail time.
Every ballot should have US Code penalties for vote fraud in boldface. Every polling place should have said penalties on prominent display.
Of course, the Dims would cry "Voter intimidation!"

Where is the RESPONSIBILITY?
Does ACORN receive tax money or have a tax deductible status?
This is a RICO issue with Voter fraud - a most dangerous crime in a democratic society.

Perhaps. Perhaps a comfy warm shower - that’s all the “punishment” they’ll get over this.

Until people start receiving substantial prison terms for such fraud, it will go on -- and Republicans will lose elections because of it.
To: markomalley
Those caught should be convicted, fined, and if its a felony, lose their voting privilige. No jail time. They are not worth tax dollars supporting in prison.

ACORNs Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees Well, with the additional 200,000 "new" voters, plus the 90% voting turnout in Detroit (with GOP poll watchers not present in most precincts) that should about do the trick for this year.
We may as well put Michigan's electoral votes in Obama's column now and save suspense on Election Night. And forget the Zogby and Rasmussen polls. They only count people who actually exist or are still alive.
