Paul Begala Publishes Disgusting Comics Calling President Bush and John McCain Gay

Posted on 09/16/2008 6:45:47 AM PDT by ProudHockeyMom

My oldest son went off to college and became a Democrat. If that isn't enough, he constantly tries to convince me that our family’s conservative values are wrong and I should vote for Barack Obama. Well that's not happening, but he still tries.

Last week he called me and said, Mom I sent you a book. It will totally change your mind about the election. The next day I receive a package with Paul Begala’s (that hateful Clinton shill from CNN) book called Third Term. My first response was Third Term, well that would be much better than the alternative.

I thumbed through the book and in addition to the usually liberal garbage, it contains cartoons, one of which portrays Bush and McCain as the characters in the movie Brokeback Mountain. I didn't even recognize it at first, my son pointed it out and thought it was funny. Well it's not. Portraying our Commander in Chief and a hero like John McCain in this deviant light is offensive.

I've been lurking at FreeRepublic for a while but after I saw these comics I created an account. Its a few days later and I am mad as ever so I decided to write my first post.

Normally I would chalk this up to liberals being liberals, but Begala is on the Communist News Network every day spewing his hate. I needed to take some action. In addition to writing this post, I sent a letter to CNN demanding they remove Begala from the air or at least remove him from Presidential Campaign Coverage. After calling John McCain gay in his book he is no longer fit to be on TV.

I also emailed several Family Values Organizations I am a member of and the McCain Campaign and asked them to speak out. I ask my fellow Freepers to speak up as well. I realize my voice matters little, but as a Christian I need to stand up against this hate.

I would be ashamed to think my son would or could EVER send that kind of gutter trash to his mother.
Yes, he can be a different party but to send that is just awful. Shame on him.

I don’t have a very high opinion of Begala but I’ve always thought he was no doubt quite familiar with, and knowledgeable about, the homosexual world.

Thats a very good description. Basically it boils down to this: to the liberal its always someone elses fault.

You need to pull his funds for college and see if socialism carries his sorry butt.

Why should he have to pay for his liberal son's indoctrination? What a great lesson in how the economy really works. Of course, if his son is majoring in "Medieval History", this will underscore it even more by pushing forward that day of reckoning before 10's of thousands of $$$ are wasted on esoterica. (I have nothing against, MH or any humanities, but one does need to perform his own cost/trade analysis on his nickel.)

A friend of mine had the same issue of his children being Democrats. They were in college. He told them, if you vote Democrat, every time I loose money because of a Democrat it comes out of your college fund. Not sure if it worked, but I like the approach.

“Anyone know how this can be prevented?”

My suggestion: Tell her she MUST vote Democrat because you do. Also tell her how wonderful rap music is and that she should listen to nothing else. As kids want nothing to do with the way their parents do things, you’d have a guaranteed conservative in the making.

Why are you paying any of the tuition? There are colleges out there that don’t spend your money brainwashing your kids. You might want to reconsider.

You mean this little story (found on Snopes (http://message.snopes.com/showthread.php?t=2221), posted by one Musicgeek on January 26, 2007)?

"A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of the redistribution of wealth.

"She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

"One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

"Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

"Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.'

"Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'

"The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!'

"The father slowly smiled, winked, and said gently, 'Welcome to the Republican party.'"

Madam, with all due respect, if this were my kid, he'd be paying his own way at sleep-over fantasy camp (aka, college).

Nothing turns a kid conservative faster than having to pay his own ticket and being forced to deal with the crazy liberal drones who occupy most university bureaucracies. You do a kid no favors by subsidizing his leftwing indoctrination. Indeed, you're helping the enemy claim another foot-soldier.
