I’ve always thought that no matter what man thinks about himself and the world around him, there are two types of species that basically rule the world.
Ants and birds.
(the ants seceded the continent of Antarctica to the birds, though!)

Wrong insects. It was Martian locust/grasshoppers in the movie, not ants.
