Jodie Evans and Barack Obama
Newly released Federal Election Commission documents reveal that Democratic party presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois accepted a hefty $7250 contribution this summer from terrorist supporter Jodie Evans, a co-founder of the anti-American group Code Pink.
The contribution was made through a hybrid fundraising vehicle, the Obama Victory Fund, that splits contributions between Obama's presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The records were filed on July 30 and July 31 of this year. Evans designated $2300 of the $7250 for Obama's general election campaign, the maximum allowed by law.
The contribution was apparently given by Evans for a June 24 Hollywood fundraiser for the Obama Victory Fund attended by Obama and Evans. Evans' Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin described the meeting between Obama and Evans at the fundraiser in a video posted days after the event.
Evans has played a key role in Obama's campaign from the very beginning when she co-hosted Obama's breakout Hollywood fundraiser weeks after he announced his candidacy in February 2007. Evans' role was to peel off supporters in Hollywood's progressive community from New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential candidacy and deliver them to Obama. She contributed the maximum $2300 for his primary campaign and is a bundler of between $50,000 and $100,000 for Obama.
Evans has continued to rally the progressive community for Obama through efforts like the open letter she published in February 2008 that was co-signed by feminists on the left and another open letter published by The Nation on July 30, 2008.
Obama has rejected several calls by military family groups to reject Evans because of her pro-terrorist activities and statements. Evans openly supports the terrorists in Iraq; sympathizes with Osama bin Laden over the 9/11 attacks; works with state sponsors of terrorism and anti-American governments including Hugo Chavez's to undermine America's efforts to win the war on terror.
Evans and Code Pink have worked to undermine morale on the homefront by taunting wounded soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and by leading a campaign to drive the Marines out of Berkeley, California--demonizing the Marines as "assassins" and likening their recruiting office to a porn shop.
Obama has said he knows he needs to earn the trust of the military and their families as commander-in-chief. His steadfast acceptance of Jodie Evans as part of his campaign team shows that he is not to be trusted with the lives of America's best.
FYI.
I’m sure that NObama’s next enemedia interviewer will be more than happy to ask him about this issue.

When will someone publish a summary of Obama contributors and their affiliations? Seems like it would make a great McCain ad.

She's already given $1000 to VSM.
Bill O’Reilly sure didn’t ask Obama about it. Why would he upset his favorite guests, Code Pink.
Yep, that’s what Code Pink told the reporter when they showed her the picture—the reporter accepted it at face value, of course.
I’m starting to believe this election cycle is a test to see if Americans have been dumbed down enough YET, or perhaps to test the mechanisms the Socialist/Democrat machine has in place.
It is truly unbelievable every step of the way these past almost two years as to what is going on, what has happened, and what seems to be that the Left is getting away with.
I always thought this was a Nation of laws. Will anybody please enforce at least some of them?
None of these guys know squat about the communist left. I sometimes think they do more harm than good by their profound ignorance of the subject.

It seems that Hussein has a ‘pattern’ of TERRORIST friends.
