(CNN) -- Sarah Palin did not visit troops in Iraq, a spokesperson for the Republican vice presidential nominee confirmed Saturday, as new details emerged about the extent of the Alaska governor's foreign travel. Gov. Sarah Palin's aide confirmed to CNN details of her foreign travel Saturday.
Gov. Sarah Palin's aide confirmed to CNN details of her foreign travel Saturday.
In July of last year, Palin left North America for the first time to visit Alaskan troops stationed in Kuwait. Palin officials originally said her itinerary included U.S. military installations or outposts in Germany and Kuwait, and that she had visited Ireland.
A Palin aide in Alaska said Iraq was also one of the stops on that trip.
The Boston Globe reported Saturday that Palin visited the Iraqi side of a border crossing -- but never journeyed past the checkpoint. Earlier, campaign aides confirmed reports that Palin's time in Ireland on that trip had actually been a refueling stop.

Looks like an intern must have needed some busy work to come up with this as a news story.
I bet she has walked on water. The Yukon river freezes every winter.
Going to be??
Boy, the liberals are certainly grabbing at straws, aren’t they?
**John Kerry crossed into Cambodia.....Oh, wait.....**
And Hillary was under sniper fire!;-)
When did she claim she did to NOW claim she didn’t?
Wow, print a fake story so when it’s corrected by the party written about, it’s portrayed as changing the story.
My head hurts.
Even a used piece of toilet paper is good for something.
And she has now started a trip at a whole other level. A trip into the history books.
Really. . .and for sure. As I mentioned; I too, believed he was at least. . .the best of the worst.
Instead; he turned out to be, as bad as the worst.
Which given my expectations; made him, no better than the 'worst of the worst'.
Sarah, OTOH. . .did not disappoint. (Scared me a couple of times. . .but did not disappoint. ;*) She made all the bases; and with a few home runs as well.
. ..am guessing this is Obama - unwittingly - explaining; 'WHY' he has yet to 'go there'. . .
I don’t expect these folks to give Sarah a free ride. For instance, I think it’s fair to talk about her lack of foreign policy experience. The lengths to which she was taken to task, and the follow up questions that Gibson and the others never hit Obama with. It was extremely repulsive.
He was condescending, rude, belligerent, untruthful, and a boorish. I can’t believe how he destroyed himself. I’m actually kind of sad to see what a jerk he is.
Sarah did as well as anyone could have done. He was going to trash her no matter what, so there was only so much she could do. Frankly, she and other candidates deserve better than what she got including Obama. There are ways to interview people and get the truth out without doing what Gibson did.
Have to wonder if these people ever look themselves in the mirror; and if they do; does it scare them, that there is nothing of substance, looking back.
Meantime, CNN is on to the next 'story'. . .as they create a 'new and ugy truth' for Sarah Palin.
CNN's Peter Hamby, Ed Hornick and Rebecca Sinderbrand contributed to this report.
Don't know; is there a 'Journalism Hall of Shame'? A website where they can enjoy 'special recognition'? These folks need more public appreciation i.e. just some credit; where credit is due.
/And speaking of those who get credit for this story hit piece:

This could be good one; writers, editors. . .journalists. . .producers. ..programs and entire networks. 'Like it'!)/lol/
'Truth is' the truth is the last thing these popmpous, arrogant and totally Leftist journalists are interested in. They want only to be able to craft these 'gotcha' interviews into their own 'agenda-serving' soundbites. And so, rude and full-bore they go; against those they disagree with; and fear. . .their opposition who they simply want to bury - alive if necessary.
I agree.
