While watching the Sarah Palin interview with Charlie Gibson Thursday night, and the coverage of the Palin phenomenon in general, Ive gotten the scary feeling, for the first time in my life, that dimwittedness is not just on the march in the U.S., but that it might actually prevail.
How is it that this woman could have been selected to be the vice presidential candidate on a major party ticket? How is it that so much of the mainstream media has dropped all pretense of seriousness to hop aboard the bandwagon and go along for the giddy ride?

How is it that the NYT is still publishing??????
I thought they lost their last 30,000 subscribers .....
Obviously they're talking about Obama, right?!
And Mr. Gibson looked like the nutty Professor when he gave the WRONG answer. And then all these know-it-all elitists in the MSM who think Palin is not qualified, do not even know that Gibson was WRONG.
“Stand up, Chuck.”
Now THAT’S what I call dimwittedness.
The panic on the left deepens.
(evil grin)
Typical liberal spew. If someone isn’t “progressive”, they must be stupid.
But, someone who can “uhhh...uh..., ummm, ummm” without a teleprompter is a genius. Give me a break.
But the Affrimative Action candidate is?
Keep the faith Brutha!
So... Barry’s MSM team says old people are idiots, who can’t use computers, and woman are dimwits. I guess they are counting on Europeans voters to push them over the top in November.
dimwittedness is not just on the march in the U.S., but that it might actually prevail. ............................... Could it be that the voters are really wising up after years of NYT BS?
Translation: we're scared s***less
Last time I looked--- Barack Obama thought there were 57 states...
"Gentlemen, The climate is getting colder and we all have a brain the size of a walnut. I don't think we are going to make it."
The only reason this cartoon doesn't apply squarely to the Times is that the Times personnel lack the self-perception shown by Larson's dinosaurs.

Tenth in the ten-part series, "The Owner's Manual (Part 10) -- The Remaining Amendments"
The liberals classic response. If they can't dazzle us with bovine excrement, then we must be stupid...
Yup, stay scared you effete elitists - more and more people are recognizing everyday that the 'chosen one', Obama, is just simply another would-be emperor with no clothes...
And yes, the contrast with Mrs. Palin is most upsetting because it magnifies the 'chosen one's' empty resume when set along side someone who has actually done something...
Pretty obvious this clueless clown bigot did not actually watch the interview at all. Palin showed herself far more capable and competent then the O has done anywhere at anytime.
The Bush Doctrine and the Palin Performance [Cliff May]
.........
But ask yourself: How would a real foreign policy sophisticate have replied to Gibsons question?
Well, Anne-Marie Slaughter is the dean of the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton. She was interviewed by Alan Johnson, for a book titled: Global Politics After 9/11: The Democratiya Interviews.
Heres how the exchange begins:
Johnson: What are the central differences, and what are the elements of continuity, if any exist, between the Bush doctrine and the grand strategy of forging a world of liberty under law?
Slaughter: Tell me what you mean by The Bush Doctrine.
In other words, Dean Slaughter gave the same answer as did Palin.
I remember seeing Herbert on MSNBC a couple months back (when Obama was a shoo in). He was calm and reasonable, complimenting McCain. Same with most of the Hollywood types.
What’s changed in the past week? LMAO!!!
Strange! That was my question to the media about BO's campaign!
