Does Biden Have a Catholic Problem?

When Barack Obama announced that he had chosen Joe Biden as his running mate, Catholic Democrats knew some kind of religious rumble was inevitable.
(snip)
Sure enough, the day after Biden's selection the archbishop of Denver declared that the Catholic senator should "refrain from presenting himself for communion." Archbishop Charles Chaput was one of the handful of Catholic leaders who had targeted Kerry in 2004, but he had become a marginalized in the bishops conference losing key leadership elections in part because of his extreme views about denying communion to politicians. His warning to Biden stood alone. Even the conservative Catholic League's Bill Donahue, who rarely hesitates to fire off press releases condemning Catholic Democrats, was unusually silent about Biden.
Then the Bishops stepped in. On Wednesday, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops publically called out Biden for comments he made about abortion on NBCs Meet the Press. Even Kerry, whose support for abortion rights is much stronger than Biden's and who was running at the top of the ticket, never generated attention from more than a handful of the most extreme bishops. The involvement of the bishops conference is a clear signal that the communion wars are not over. And it has Catholics Democrats worriedly asking themselves: Can one of their own ever again win national office?
(snip)
Biden, in contrast, knew what was coming. Delaware's Catholic leaders have never sought to withhold communion from the senator because of his support for abortion rights. But in 2006, then-Wilmington Bishop Michael Saltarelli pressured Biden's high school alma mater into dropping plans to name a new student center after him, citing a 2004 statement from the USCCB: "Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles."

Does Biden have a Catholic Problem?
No. He doesn't let Catholic get in the way of his pro-abortion, pro-socialist, anti-American viewpoints.
So therefore, Catholic is no problem for Biden.

Notes:
-
Previous #23 has been removed. Bishop Joseph Gossman of Raleigh, NC is actually the bishop emeritus, and the new bishop, Michael Burbidge has not, to my knowledge, made a personal statement.
-
Previous #16 has also been removed, it was an erroneous duplication of current #13.
-
#26 was added September 10th, although he published his column September 6th

“”Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles.”
As in ‘bearing false witness’.....

Sen. Joseph Biden - Bearing false witness...
In 1972 Sen. Joseph Biden, the Democrat nominee for vice President, lost his wife and young daughter in a car accident. Losing your family in a auto accident is a gut wrenching tragedy, to be sure. No one underestimates that and no ever blamed Mrs. Biden for the accident.
Right up there with despicable things one human can do to another, is falsely accusing the innocent of a crime. Bearing false witness is even in the 10 commandments, but Mr. Bidens feigned Catholicism doesnt let that stop him.
Last night CBS Inside Addition reports, In a striking moment in December 2007, he opened his heart to University of Iowa students. Let me tell you a little story. My wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree, a tractor trailer, a guy who allegedly, and I never pursued it, drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family, killed my wife instantly, killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons.
Out on the stump recently and for years, Biden has repeated this charge. Lately, he has tried to soften it with the thought that he doesnt know if the semi truck driver was drunk...., I never pursued it. He didnt follow the case about the death of his wife and child? Give me a break.
The court certainly did. The driver was never charged and was cleared of any wrong doing. Mrs. Biden, driving a station wagon full of kids and a Christmas tree pulled into the trucks path. The driver, also a victim, had not been drinking and for the years before his death his reputation suffered with the false charge that Biden put out in the public for sympathy and political gain.
He will use his dead family and an innocent fellow American for his own personal profit. Dont be surprised when he uses the rest of us.

I was shocked to see how measly Biden’s charitable deductions are over a 10 year period, $6300 give or take some change.
$630 a year?
It’s looks as though Biden does not put money in the collection each week, nor does he tithe. Does he go to Mass on Sunday or is he a CINO and uses Mass as a photo op along with a “membership” in a parish?
If he using his Catholicity as a polling point, I think we are entitled to know.

A person cannot be a democrat and vote CATHOLIC. Or they can't remain a Catholic and vote DEMOCRAT. A plank of the Democratic platform endorse abortion in all forms. Thus, if a Catholic votes democrat they will consequently, unless they take steps to confess, repent and amend their ways, be excommunicated. Excommunicated means that they can NO longer receive Communion.

Liberals like Biden believe in charity as long as the government (i.e. someone else, namely you and me) is providing it.
They are the most wonderfully charitable people on earth when they are spending your money and mine to buy their own popularity and inflate their "caring" egos.

Biden has a drinking problem.

The writer paints the bishops extremists simply because they want Catholics to actually abide by their faith. She calls them extreme, yet doesn't acknowledge how out of step Biden is with traditional church teachings.
Yup, all the blame points to those damned extreme bishops.

Does Biden have a Catholic Problem?
make that: “Should Biden have a Catholic Problem? “
And the answer would be “Yes.”
Then again: that problem should tie down Kennedy, Biden, Kerry, Miskowski, ..... But their bishops ignore teh issue.

The Bishops are only doing their job looking after Biden’s spiritual welfare by admonishing him. They don’t want to be held accountable for his blood—and the blood of those he misled—on Judgment Day.
