Chris Matthews Lied About Sarah Palin/Gibson Interview on Hardball

I can't take it anymore, why do I watch. Matthews just blatantly lied about this part of the interview:

The bias continues, here is what Chris Matthews said on Friday’s edition of Hardball:

Chris Matthews: What did you make her of answer when she was asked four times by Charlie Gibson, what would you do if the government of Israel….called us up and said we are ready to hit Iran, we think we got the bead on where their nuclear facilities are, we want some help with AWACS, some intelligence, we want some radar, we want some refueling help.

And the answer isn’t, well let’s talk about it because we’ve got a lot riding on that part of the world in history and we know a lot and we’ve got interests over there too and say, “Oh we’d never second guess you Prime Minister”. To me, that sounds like the dumbest answer I’ve ever heard from an American politician.

To say you wouldn’t second guess an ally, that said they’re gonna hit another country with our help and they want our help and we wouldn’t think about it, we’d just go along with them. Does that make sense, wouldn’t second guess an ally?

John Binkley: Well as I recall, she said she wouldn’t stand in the way.

Chris Matthews: No, she said she wouldn’t second guess, four times. Four times she say’s we won’t second guess Israel when they ask us to help them attack another country. Wouldn’t second guess, wouldn’t think about it, isn’t that an extraordinary statement? For any ally, whether it is England, France, Israel or anybody.

Hey Chrissy, show some professionalism, some intellectual honesty, and stop lying. Gibson never asked such a question. He never said anything about Israel asking us for our help. He simply asked what would you do if Israel decided to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities.

GIBSON: What if Israel decided it felt threatened and needed to take out the Iranian nuclear facilities?

PALIN: Well, first, we are friends with Israel and I don’t think that we should second guess the measures that Israel has to take to defend themselves and for their security.

GIBSON: So if we wouldn’t second guess it and they decided they needed to do it because Iran was an existential threat, we would cooperative or agree with that.

PALIN: I don’t think we can second guess what Israel has to do to secure its nation.

GIBSON: So if it felt necessary, if it felt the need to defend itself by taking out Iranian nuclear facilities, that would be all right.

PALIN: We cannot second guess the steps that Israel has to take to defend itself.

It is amazing when you have your own television show, you can just make crap up out of thin air and all the while pretend to be super intelligent.

You go Chrissy, I’m sure your performance sent a thrill up Olbermann’s leg.

Truth be told, it doesn't matter what Chris says or thinks. Sarah is connecting with the American people in a way that these leftists and elitists cannot comprehend and it will be their undoing, both in the MSM and DNC.

Sarah connects with everyday people. She was mother who wanted to make a difference in her community and joined the PTA and it went from there. She didn't need an ivy league degree in Political Science, she didn't need a law degree, she didn’t need rich connections, she just needed honesty, integrity, her faith, and a desire to serve.

She didn't seek wealth, power, or high position...it just happened and that connects with most Americans of all stripes (outside of the leftists and elitists whom she threatens) who in their hearts want to try and help their communities and improve things for their kids.

Thanks for posting the transcript. Despite chrissy's claim that Palin was asked how we would proceed if Israel asked us to "help them attack another country"; that question was never asked. What was obama's/biden's response to the same question?

It's getting to the point where I don't care what these people say anymore - they have proven to be irrelevant.

I don't want to give them attention and justify their existence. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE.

What we as conservatives must do is to support alternative sources and make it so that advertisers will go for a strong media outlet. It will not happen overnight, we must be vigilante and be willing to fight for it, but we can make it happen.
