Todd Palin among 13 subpoenaed in 'Troopergate'
Daily News and wire reports

The state Senate Judiciary Committee voted 3-2 today to subpoena 13 people -- including the husband of Gov. Sarah Palin -- in an investigation of whether Palin abused her power in trying to get her former brother-in-law fired. -snip-
The Senate committees granted the request. Voting for were Sens. Charlie Huggins, R-Wasilla, and two Anchorage Democrats, Hollis French and Bill Wielechowski.
Voting no were Sens. Lesil McGuire, R-Anchorage, and Gene Therriault, R-North Pole.
Branchflower said he wants to interview Palin herself but did not ask for a subpoena for her.

The trooper in question drank in his cruiser and tasered a 13 year old boy. And he’s going for wrongful dismissal?
THE BOY WAS 10
what is great about all of this..
Is “Troopergate” doesnt have any legs! I have noticed the MSM has been backing off of it bigtime...
Yeah, and I also heard she had a boy from Ecuador cut her grass, 12 years ago and didn’t check to see if he was LEGAL or Illegal. AND...and..it WAS true that she used a government computer to send a personal email. We’ve got a case....building. Wouldn’t surprise me if she is a REAL Hockey Mom, she probably even wrote a check with NSF. Needs looking into. Might disqualify her from being VP candidate.
Mea culpa, I must have read the reporter from the 57th state.
These people are desperate and have stooped to the lowest level to show what a ding-bat party that the demorcatic party has become. Even Hillary should be jumping ship at this point.
Hollis French hasn’t recused himself? How unethical is that? When will he be investigated.
The trooper never lost her job, this is about the troopers supervisor, who Palin claims was directed to make changes in how he was running things and refused so she fired him.
Not over the trooper but over him not following her directions to do things differently.
More on Huggins, the Republican voting yes... He’s an oil company stooge.

The Alaska Public Safety Officer is an “At will” position and can be removed from his position at any time by the Governor.
This is a non issue but as you can see the media has already launched so much disinformation that it's going to be hard to sort out before election day
McCain Palin needs to go around the media. Although I'm loving how hard the McCain team is hitting back at the media. It's refreshing to see.
Alaskan FReepers need to be on this...let us in the lower 48 what we can do to help.
Ex commisioner Monegan was fired by Governor Palin and seeks to drag her name through the mud. Democrats believe him. Who would have imagined?
But she did ask for an investigation if she abused her powers, but, doesn’t she have the right to do so??
It's worse than than. The trooper already admitted he tasered the boy, it was posted on FR yesterday. He claimed that the boy 'wanted to know what it was like', but he's the only one claiming that angle.
The problem for the media is that America couldn't give a millimeter's worth of damn for smacking down an abusive cop. At this point, even if there *was* undue command influence, most of America would support it in this context, and it would actually *benefit* Palin.
Secretly, or not so secretly, the vast majority of the U.S. is happy to ignore rules and regulations that protect dirt bag government officials, and are overjoyed when the government punishes bad apples. It's 'Dirty Harry' style vigilante justice, but in this context, it plays directly into Palin's 'frontier justice and clean government' storyline.
That reason, and that reason alone, is why the media is backing off of it. Because it could benefit Palin.
