Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund has released a new ad against Sarah Palin.

It will air in a "targeted buy" in the Toledo and Dayton, OH, markets, spokeswoman Jessica Brand said. She added that they plan to scale it up in Ohio and in other swing states later, but didn't immediately have a dollar figure.

Typical of Defenders of Wildlife, PETA and animal rights nutjob propaganda that appeal to emotions. They ignore wildlife management that is the responsibility of the individual state Fish & Game Depts.

It may not be such a waste of money. We are making the assuption that “Defenders of Wildlife” are trying to help Obama win. It could well be that, like many “non-profit” organizations (including some conservative ones), they are just trying run ads that will help them raise more money in the future. “Red Meat” ads (pun intended) are one good way to do it. It might even be that the more cynical ones almost hope that McCain/Palin wins so that they have a bogey-woman for the next 4-16 years.

What, isn’t the first day of deer season a day off school in Ohio? Used to be in PA!

Sarah’s family does not go to the market to buy filet.

They eat what they shoot. Sarah said her family has always lived on game and the fish they catch because it’s fresh and clean, compared to domestic raised meat. I;d like to see Obama and other critics of this family kill and gut the beef and chicken they eat.

Maybe we need to remember “Caribou- it’s not the other white meat”

Oh why don't they just make up signs:

PALIN HATES BAMBI AND WANTS HIM DEAD!

That should appeal to the Michael Moore wing of the electorate.

......and pay $5.00 a gallon this weekend......

My wife got in an uproar this morning and decided to go fill the empty half of the tank before prices went up. She had to get in line and she called to tell me the price rose $.10 while she was in line :)

That kind of ad will only appeal to the voters they already have.

There's no description of the ad in the post, so I ask: What kind of ad?

Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund... How much money do they fund wildlife vs the Pittman/Robertson Act?

The ad is totally misleading (naturally).

The Alaska predator cull is necessary to preserve the wildlife populations — of both predator and prey. Past culls (in northern Canada, as well as Alaska) have resulted in dramatically increased prey populations — and, in turn, larger predator populations.

If the “Defenders of Wildlife”, the wildlife would face declining numbers — possibly wiping out certain prey populations. The predators would then face slow death by starvation. With “defenders” like those, the wildlife doesn't need enemies.

As an Ohioan, I can say that I, too, love animals.

They are delicious, especially with mashed potatoes.

lol...I agree. I grew up in Ohio, and we had the first and last day of hunting season off school. If anything, these ads will help McCain!

Palin isn’t running for President.
I would guess one of the 2,500 employees on his campaign staff would have alerted him to this.
