She’s running for one of the most powerful offices in this nation, I WANT her answering the hard questions.
Right. Asking whether or not it was appropriate to ask people to pray for soldiers in Iraq is a tough question.
Slanted and biased would be better adjectives.
No argument here...but I also want her opponents from the Democrat ticket to receive and answer hard questions as well. So often, that is not the case.
Too bad Obama has never had to.
“Shes running for one of the most powerful offices in this nation, I WANT her answering the hard questions.”
Of course but thats not really the point. The point is the Dem Presidential candidates gets velvet glove treatment and she (a conservative woman) gets clobbered.
“Shes running for one of the most powerful offices in this nation, I WANT her answering the hard questions.”
I agree. But it must be done the exact same way they’re handling Biden. People can barely stand the media, much less credit them with an elevated position to speak condescendingly to a candidate running for office. Heck, Obama is running for president! Where are the difficult questions for him? Why is the Arab press referring to him as a “Muslim Brother?” The networks can shut the outrage up about the handling of Governor Palin by doing some real “vetting” of Barack Obama, his money, and his unclear work history.
We're upset about the double standard and the Hussein is treated with kid gloves.
We're upset that her words were twisted to make her look like a religions fanatic.
We're upset that Gibson was very congenial in previous interviews with BHO, but condescending and confrontational with Palin.
Americans want unbiased media. We're getting madder and madder as it becomes more obvious that this is what we do NOT have.
Absolutely. But I also want her answers to be heard in full, in context.
Gibson/ABC was very selective in the editing and The Washington Post is playing right along.
I have no problem with her being asked hard questions. I have a big problem with Obama NOT being asked hard questions.
Would you like to see the same set of questions asked of Obama? Except of course substituting the Clinton Doctrine for the Bush Doctrine?
Me too. I just want them to be questions that matter and I want the TOP of the other ticket held to the same standard (did anyone ask Obama or Biden if they thought they were up to the job, and if so, when they said yes, would they call taht hubris?) I thought that was a stunningly embarrassing moment for Gibson (or should have been).
susie
You bet.
She has no control over the editing of her interviews. Neither does any other candidate.
The media is not and never will be fair, yet she is not complaining.
Her grit and example speak volumes, no matter how they chop it up.
UPI got it right, this made ABC and Gibson look like idiots and reminds 75% of American why they loath the Establishment media. Once again the Establishment media confused themselves for the message rather the remember it is merely the medium
Should try actually watching the interview instead of mindlessly clinging to your “hate McCain always” dogmas. Your comments here demonstrate you have no clue what you are talking about. I have been as sever a McCain critic as anyone and even I can see the hatchet job ABC attempted on Palin
First of all, VP Office holder do not make policies.
"most powerful offices in the nation?"...dude get off of that cheap booze, try some good brands!
Sure, so do I, but the point here is that the double-standards and partisan biases of media hacks like Gibson are an obscenity. The media has gotten away with decades of slanting our political processes, making it a much more uphill struggle for conservatives to win elections. Of course, we should recognize that and just be better than the libs. Ronald Reagan came through that crucible to be greater than he otherwise might have been had he not been challenged so severely. Still, it is nauseating to think that a lightweight like Obama has a serious chance to be elected POTUSA simply because a partisan media has put him in this position. Fortunately, I do think with the Palin nomination and some other factors the general election is swinging our way..... but it's a long way until Nov. 4!
Yes, but what of his incessant questioning re: Israel’s defense? That seemed to be othing but a ploy to get a “gotcha” moment.
I wish, but she wasn’t asked tough questions. She was asked questions along the line of whether or not she still beats her husband.
If you watched the interview, did you come away knowing more about her position on any issue?
Questions...good.
But posed by a snide, lying Dim-lapdog, nope.
Besides the obvious...she's running for V.P.....She got tougher questions than Obama has rec'd thus far...and he's running for POTUS
There is no such thing as “The Bush Doctrine.”
It is an expression created by media talking heads for use with other media talking heads.
There is no United States government paper, finding, directive, or policy EVER printed with such a title.
