REPUBLICAN vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has insisted in her first major television interview she is ready to step in as US president if necessary.
John McCain's running mate also said in the interview with ABC News that she did not "blink" when Senator McCain made the shock offer for her to be on the Republican White House ticket and staked out a hard line against Russia.
The Alaska Governor was asked whether she though she was ready to step in as president should something befall Senator McCain, if the 72-year-old is elected president on November 4.
"I do ... if we are so privileged to be elected to serve this country, (I) will be ready. I'm ready."
Ms Palin said she did not "blink" when Senator McCain asked her to be his running mate two weeks ago.
"I answered him yes, because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, that mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink.

I’ll put that woman up against Putin, Chavez, and Achminadouche all at the same time.
Take cover tyrants, that girl can kill a moose with her bare hands, she only uses the knife for field dressing it.
“Take cover tyrants, that girl can kill a moose with her bare hands, she only uses the knife for field dressing it.”
Yes but can she put down a charging tiger with one tranquilizer dart? Putin can!

Not savy enough to post this pic yet, on here anyways, but this picture is priceless.

Are you sure she didn’t suggest that someone else is more qualified? /s
“I believe that there is a plan for this world and that plan for this world is for good,” Ms Palin said in the interview.
“I believe that there is great hope and great potential for every country to be able to live and be protected with inalienable rights that I believe are God-given ... and I believe that those are the rights to life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Perfect, absolutely perfect!
Where can we watch a video of the interview?
I want it NOW!!!
:)
The comments so far are great from her. I’m still waiting to see the entire interview though.
Perfect post.
Need help with a bumper sticker my 13 year old son came up with. Gas Prices (on top and then underneath) Palin = Payless.
President Palin.. Dude, don’t tease me like that.
That video ended with a definition of Stuck on Stupid. Whoever made the video did a sad job of specifying who was stuck: Palin or Gibson?
That is a precious picture!
I thought Charlie Gibson was very abrupt and his body language was that of hubris with his chest all pumped out. Even my Mom, who actually watches Charlie Gibson thought he had an obnoxious edge to him.
How refreshing though not to hear, Ummm, ummm, wellll, ummmm.... Looked him straight in the eye with every answer.
She has way more self control than I could ever have. I don’t think I could ever sit there and not want to scratch his eyes out if the msm media did to my family what they did to hers.
