I just watched it on a delayed feed because of the storm down here in Houston. Watching it from the perspective of how it would be viewed by the average freedom-loving American, I thought she was great. Charlie Gibson....that’s another matter.
You are absolutely right...the elitist lib media hacks don’t have a clue why she’s such a powerful new force, but the voters do.

I’m pleasantly surprised. I had assumed that McCain would have negotiated harder and let her have an easy interview to start off. But since she’s handling TOUGH questions, that’s great!
I thought she did fine.

Lou Dobs on CNN said that from what he saw of the interview Joe Biden had better hit the books!!!
But this was Classic “GOTCHA” lefty media.
Charlie was determined to trip her up.
He wouldn’t take her answer the first two or three times if he didn’t like it.
Tonight he was more of a slime ball and less of a fair and balanced interviewer.
My wife said she wants to hear Obama answer the same questions!
Charlie's question about whether she had any doubts was a trap question. She said "no" and he accused her of having hubris (arrogance). Had she answered "yes" she had some doubts, he would have said "well shouldn't Americans have doubts too?"
Gibson is not going to play Mr. Nice Guy the next 2 days. Pray for Palin.

No joke! That is why I am so much happier since I dumped TV in 1997. I used to say that stuff all the time at the TV. Now I can merely go to the internet and, as you have done, shout to the world, not a non-listening TV, that the information was intentionally distorted.
The good news is that Sarah answered it the best way I can imagine short of insisting he “quote her whole paragraph”. She remembered what she MEANT when she said it and covered that, even when he tried unsuccessfully a second time to do a “gotcha”. And when one goes back and reads the actual FULL quote, her answer DID line up with it.
That is, frankly, unheard of in politics. She is very unflappable.
The dems should be VERY afraid of this woman.

What a crap budget interview! One camera? Chairs so close together they were almost playing footsie because they had to get both of them in the shot. They had more of Charlie’s face than Sarah and she was the interviewie.
This seemed like a low budget Vodcast rather than a major network interview. And I cannot stand seeing Charlie Gibson with his peering over his glasses snobby looking self. It looks like she got called in to the principal’s office and it completely lacked respect of her, a Governor!!
You know, I have never paid attention to sexism before Sarah Palin, but after this I am seeing it is alive and well. I just hope the women of America are seeing who is committing it.
It was funny how he said “look america in the eye” and then when they should have cut to a full facial frontal view, I still could not see her eyes. Kinda weird.

What strikes me about Sarah...
She’s not shrill.
She doesn’t continually say “well you know”
She doesn’t continually say uh, uh, well uh,
She doesn’t continually say “many people have come up to me and asked that question”, or something to that effect.
She doesn’t continually yell at the top of her lungs when people applaud.
The lady is all class and a winner.

Gibson needs some updating - women have been given equality Charlie....you guys are still locked into the old Disney cartoons with gray-haired grandmas sitting in a rocking chair knitting.
Sarah Palin is just one of many educated, bright females who combine family life, strong community service, religious belief and dedication to the nation, all rolled into one woman who isn’t blessed with wealth or powerful family connections to break into the old boys’ network. She got there on her own.
Get used to it!
