Actual Quote:

“Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.”

This is why Governor Palin should speak directly to the American people. Speaking with moronic buffoons like Charlie is a waste of everybody’s time. Gibson is an 0bama “Tingler” and is only out to try to trash Governor Palin.

How about that camera angle to the back of Palin’s right ear. Gibson’s getting more face coverage than Palin. Maybe it’s just a web cam thing.

She handled Gibson as well as Ronald Reagan would have. I watched it and she shone like a bright star.

It was quite obvious that Gibson was physically higher than Palin, which allowed him to peer down at her. Very strange and obvious !! The glasses were quite irritating as well. Usually, I like Gibson but he came off as very pompous and at times, condescending to her. Sarah looked beautiful and Charlie is getting old !! She did fine - not exactly easy questions but she’ll be fine. Once she gets a few interviews under her belt she’ll be more at ease.

There was an appearance of pomposity, IMHO.

To me, that’s fine, plays right into the fact that she’s been looked down by the media all along and that’s one of the reasons she has such overwhelming support from the public at this point (from women especially.)

Reuters online has an article which I thought made her look strong, no nonsense and to the point. (Unless of course they remove it in order to post something more negative)

I would love to see these snarky know-it-all journalists subjected to a series of arcane, impromptu questions about the history of journalistic ethics. They would probably stammer worse than Obama.

The transcript of that speech is found at Irregular Times. What Sarah said is

And Track — pray for our military. He’s going to be deployed in September to Iraq. Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right also for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending out on a task that is from God. That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.

She is spot on with the sentiment of the first Republican POTUS, Abe Lincoln.

ABC used a piece of a sentence to misrepresent what she said.

It did seem condescending. She did very well, though, just as I expected. Can’t wait for the debate.

Sarah will be back on the campaign trail and explaining herself to the American people.

Straight talk is way about Charlie’s pay grade.

Well, what’s Obambi going to do if Biden has the third aneurism?

Who will he consult? Mrs. Omarosa?

I guess ABC is still out to get the Republicans - we should have known it was going to be an attack

You guess?

IMO, most FReepers knew....

This is one of the things I never understand about many Pubbies and Conservatives. They think that they will get a fair shake from the likes of ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, PBS, etc...etc...

Ain't gonna happen.......
