First on TVNewser: Insiders tell us the first Charlie Gibson/Sarah Palin interview is complete. The first sit-down lasted 30 minutes and included questions about energy independence, foreign affairs and whether Gov. Palin is ready to be Vice President. "Absolutely," is her response. When asked if she is ready to step in and be president of the United States. Palin answers, "You bet."
We're told Gibson asked for two extra minutes and used it to ask Palin whether she agrees with the "Bush Doctrine." Among Palin's responses:
• "The top priority is to defend the United States of America. I know that John McCain would do that."
• "With new leadership comes opportunity to do things better."
• "War has got to be a last option."
• "If a strike is imminent we have every right to defend our country...and that's what a McCain/Palin administration would do."
• "In order to stop Islamic extremists we must do whatever it takes. We must not blink, Charlie."
Yep. And....anti-american liberals will be throwing the china and crystal at the T.V. foaming at the mouth becoming even more unhinged than they already are.
I’ll bet that right about now, snObama is thanking to high heaven that HE doesn’t have to um-a-ah-un-ah debate her!
To the mentally-challenged, "war" is bombs falling on Duluth, Fresno, Austin and St Paul; or scryscrapers blowing up in the same places.
Anything short of that should only peeve the irrational hawks.
We need a gentler, kinder form of war, where we somehow hold off the rabid dogs and reason with them...
The fact that she is quoting LINCOLN....YEAH!! When have you heard OBAMA quote any of our fore fathers?

Those are the words of a great patriot. She doesn't flinch and she doesn't apologize for having convictions. I hope Charlie understands that he is in the presence of greatness.
Over at the ABC site the comment section is savaging Gov Palin. They see a war monger and a danger to us. It’s upsetting, so I won’t go back. They are also claiming that Georgia was not a NATO member. Is that correct?
And when you read what she actually said, she was simply saying what Lincoln said, namely let us pray that our plan is God's plan. It's hard to fault that, unless you are a screaming, foaming-at-the-mouth, leftist hater of anything transcendent.

Just watched the clips on their website. Why do they only have a side shot? They have no face shots of her.
They are only showing her from the side in the interview clips I saw on the website. hmmm
She is a beautiful woman inside and out-—I’m proud to support her!
I wonder if Obama knows what NATO is and what it means. Would he honor those obligations if Russia attacked a NATO ally? Why doesn’t somebody ask him...
What the hell is she thinking. Does she not realize she was supposed to tell us if she thinks Dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago? I really hope to god Charlie asks her this tomorrow. We need to know that. She will have the nuclear codes.

Let's be real here. If she couldn't stand up to snarky journalists, then I would be concerned about her dealing with China and Russia. Certainly, they have to be even more underhanded?
Looks like she did beautifully. She's ready because she knows what she believes. She doesn't have to pretzel twist herself into what she thinks her supporters want her to believe.
