First on TVNewser: Insiders tell us the first Charlie Gibson/Sarah Palin interview is complete. The first sit-down lasted 30 minutes and included questions about energy independence, foreign affairs and whether Gov. Palin is ready to be Vice President. "Absolutely," is her response. When asked if she is ready to step in and be president of the United States. Palin answers, "You bet."
We're told Gibson asked for two extra minutes and used it to ask Palin whether she agrees with the "Bush Doctrine." Among Palin's responses:
• "The top priority is to defend the United States of America. I know that John McCain would do that."
• "With new leadership comes opportunity to do things better."
• "War has got to be a last option."
• "If a strike is imminent we have every right to defend our country...and that's what a McCain/Palin administration would do."
• "In order to stop Islamic extremists we must do whatever it takes. We must not blink, Charlie."

That’s an old media whore trick - lie about an old statement or policy and then demand a reaction to the strawman. She didn’t bite.
He does have a plan for each of us - and I KNOW - Sarah is God’s Will to help save this nation and Israel! She’s our Esther - for such a time as this.
I know she can't be "nuanced" in an interview like this, but she could very well say that it is a task from God that justice be served for those who have had lives destroyed by islamic extremism. It would fit her conservative credentials which assert that justice is a God-ordained ideal.
But that's a little more than an interviewer would want to hear, I suspect.

When asked by Gibson if under the NATO treaty, the U.S. would have to go to war if Russia again invaded Georgia, Palin responded: "Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help.
"And we've got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable," she told ABC News' Charles Gibson in an exclusive interview.

There was a period in my life when I was infatuated with good looking Tomboys. I recall reading an article sometime in the 90’s that these women were born with elevated levels of a chemical or enzyme called CAH, and that the odds of this occurring were about 1 in 10,000. From the looks of it, Palin has a bunch of it and combined with her beauty, she’s gotta be one in a million.
There’s a certain FReeper here that I have a cyber-crush on whom I am certain has this trait. She’s a beauty, brains and would tear your head off if you crossed her. Mum’s the word so don’t even ask!

Just to be sure, I would tune in at 6:30PM ET tonight and also 11:35PM ET tonight to ABC News. If they are showing any of this at 6:30PM, they will likely say so within the first minute or two of the broadcast.

Gibson really came after her, IMO, and she knocked it out of the park. Americans are going to love her even more after seeing this!!

Why can’t it be a task from God? I mean, the entire Dem platform is based on a task from Margaret Sanger if you look at the bombardment of Palin on the basis that she is pro-life.
It reminds of the movie “Independence Day” with Will Smith and Bill Pullman.
A scene where the alien uses the scientist, played by Brent Spiner, to communicate in English. They don’t know what the aliens want, so they ask, “what is it you want us to do?”
The alien then uses the guy to say “die.” That was a turning point in the movie where they buckled down and did what they had to do.
