Are You Too Dumb to Understand Evolution?
CreationEvolutionHeadlines ^ | September 10, 2008

Posted on 09/11/2008 9:55:10 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

Sept 10, 2008 — Astrobiologist David Deamer believes that life can spontaneously emerge without design, but he thinks lay people are too uneducated to understand how this is possible, so he gives them the watered-down version of Darwin’s natural selection instead, which he knows is inadequate to explain the complexity of life. That’s what he seemed to be telling reporter Susan Mazur in an interview for the Scoop (New Zealand). Is the lay public really too dense for the deeper knowledge of how evolution works?...

I think you mistook my post as being my words. They were not mine nor did I post in support of those words.

Seems like the courts have disagreed with that for a long, long time. They also seem to disagree that the first amendment applies only to formal laws passed by Congress. Again, your beef isn’t with “evos,” it’s with the entire judiciary.

No....godless liberal activist judges have hated on America for a long, long time.

And again the ENTIRE judiciary is not YET owned by godless liberals.

At least not yet...another reason Americans need to reject the ObamaNation and his failed liberalism.

So how would you feel if Christians sued and won to have Christianity taught in the public schools?
Same difference..

No it isnt. Science is not religion.

Here we go again...”your beliefs are religious my beliefs are scientific”...

like I said a dark dead end road. :(

I could care less whether you respond to that post. It was just put up as an interesting read from an Islamic site but looks a lot like what I see from the creationists.

Is that not how other theories in science are treated?

No. How many stickers should we put on the front of the textbooks?

Ummmmm well just how many THEORIES are so insecure that they have to hijack the judiciary to enforce it as fact?

I think that’s pretty apparent to all:

ONE sticker.

Absolutely. Islam as a religion is totally at odds with any other belief or political system.

Granted. But that has nothing to do with my question.

This was your question, "Are you saying that many (if not most) suicide bombers are not secular socialists and Communists???" Moslems are not Communists they are Moslems, why do you have a hard time understanding that simple concept?

That all depends on the context. But I will hold my peace until Tacticalogic responds with specific answers.

Are you disputing that the MSM hasn't gone out of its way to not link Muslims and terrorists? LOL

Savage is where many who would otherwise turn out to be solid conservatives pickup liberal derangement syndrome.

Maybe you should examine your own beliefs before casting aspersions. Trying to pass off Moslems as Communists is absurd.

...Americans need to reject the ObamaNation and his failed liberalism.

Then I take it you are voting for this guy.

“I think Americans should be exposed to every point of view,” he said. “I happen to believe in evolution…I respect those who think the world was created in seven days. Should it be taught as a science class? Probably not.“

Seems like the courts have disagreed with that for a long, long time. They also seem to disagree that the first amendment applies only to formal laws passed by Congress.
Strange, then I wonder why the Founding Fathers didn’t eliminate all reference of God or the Bible from the public education system as it stood at the time the Constitution was written.

Or why they didn’t specify that the public schools that existed at the time were agents acting in stead of the government and subject to the same restrictions as those placed on Congress?

Or why they specified only Congress and didn’t add that restriction to any governmental body.

Perhaps you could explain gross oversights like that.

For that matter, it escaped the attention of the courts for close to 200 years. Maybe you could explain that while you’re at it.

For that matter, why did they mention God Himself directly THEMSELVES ??????

I wouldn’t know, as I don’t read people who like to barf all over the thread. Make your point, make sure everybody can read it without damaging their eyes, and for obscure (not to mention massive) quotations—PROVIDE A LINK!

Then you keep yours, and I’ll keep mine. You take care of your children’s religious upbringing, I’ll take care of mine and we both live happily ever after.

Seems perfect.

Now all you need to get over is the fact that you no more own science than you do religion, and everything will be as it should be in America! ;)

Integration escaped the courts for only close to 180 years.

yet another strawman.

Sorry, you are right. If I include your “absolutely”, what you replied with has everything to do with my question. That’s what I get for reading your reply too quickly. Still, I will hold my peace until T-logic responds. Sorry to keep you on hold, but you jumped in rather late in the thread. If you want me to ping you with my response once T-logic resurfaces, I would be more than happy to ping you.

For this reason, the root of the terrorism that plagues our planet is not in any of the divine religions, but in atheism, and the expression of atheism in our times: Darwinism and materialism.

Every Person Who Desires Peace Must Recognise the Danger of Darwinism

The solution in the fight against a particular problem lies in doing away with the ideas this problem fundamentally depends on. For instance, no matter how hard one endeavours to keep the surroundings of a stinking garbage bin clean, the garbage will keep on stinking. All solutions will prove to be short-lived. The real solution lies in a thorough cleaning of the garbage's source, removing the trash altogether.

All depends on context. Sometimes the MSM covers for radical Islam, other times it covers for the Communists. In both cases, they cover for those who would destroy Western Civilization.

I'll let the scientists arbitrate science, and leave the theologians to religion. You don't get either one. :)

So are you saying that there are no Communist revolutionaries who are mistakenly (or deliberately) labeled radical Islamists by the MSM? If that is your contention, I will most definitely ping you when T-logic finally rejoins the conversation to defends his secularist brethren in the Middle East and elsewhere.

tpanther, you really should stop misrepresenting the posts of others. Your deceit is obvious. You don’t even restate their words. You only come up with some absurd statement falsely infering some other meaning to that person. In my Book, that is bearing false witness which is a sin. Are you not a good Christian wanting to live a good Christian life?

WOW....you get a gold star ColdWater!

PURPOSEFULLY a few posts back I decided to go down your road with you...you and tacticalogic and that’s soooooo illogical.

With all your hyperbole, projecting and willful misrepresentations of science, religion, the judiciary and the Constitution and so on....

Essentially I hold up a mirror and you’re able to see the ugliness, but still incapable of recognizing it’s YOU!

And I KNOW you’ve tried your “but but but you’re supposed to turn the other cheek” drivel before on others too no doubt!

YOU couldn’t be more disingenuous, more arrogant, more self-absorbed and more hopelessly wrong if you made it your life’s work!

Now, YOU really should throw some cold water on your head!
