Since February I have been saying that Barack Obama would get crushed in this years presidential election. The signs of trouble for the Democrats have always been there
.Today it is no longer wishful thinking or proof you have been smoking something to say John McCain will crush Barack Obama.
..here are the numbers that say it is over..
To win Obama must get these numbers with these groups:
..women, he needs at least plus 7. He is down 12.
White males needs at least 36%. If he gets 30% he will be lucky
Catholics: needs 50%. He is down 59/36.
Evangelicals: needs 71%. He is running against an Evangelical and has nothing to offer these Christian voters.
Jewish vote: needs 80%. He is at 57%.
Black vote: needs 95%. Zogby says he has lost support among Black voters.
Hispanic vote: needs 65%. The only polls available show he is at 65% so that wont help, it will only slow the bleeding.
Democrat base support: needs 92%. He is at 86%.
Independents: needs 49%. He is losing 52/37.
This one is over. On Monday September 29, 2008 at about 5 PM when the last weekend polls come in, the numbers will spell doom for the Democrats. On September 30, 2008 the McCain Palin campaign must plan on switching gears and start asking for votes to give them a Republican Congress. It could keep the margin down and keep us safe from the Democrats for another two years.
..there will only be four elected Democrats who will be happy on Nov. 5, the Clintons, George McGovern and Walter Mondale because Barack Obama will take them off the hook as having taken the worse beatings in history
The Founders decided it was much preferable to have somebody win with a thin margin in a large number of states, than have somebody win with a large margin in a few states, but be hated in the rest of the country.
An example of what can happen is the 1860 electoral map. Lincoln won only the Northern states, with his opposition split three ways. Lincoln won, but the result was a civil war which cost 620,000 deaths (and that's just soldiers dead).
They can't stop a landslide.
Amen Bro ( a little Obama street thug lingo)
Those disgruntled Rat women election officials are already plotting to assure a win in their district.
I have heard of “hurling chunks” but I have never heard of “farting ducks”. Interesting, I like to see that...... or maybe not.
“Second Stage: we need to press more to ensure we optimize GOP seats in Congress. If not add to, at least keep the current split.”
Are we allowed to post campaign info for repubs up against whacky leftists?
My congress critter is a real Pelosi/Reid suckup.
It would be fantastic to get him out.
I think you are probably right, and I am inclined to think she would rather let Obambi twist in the wind.
I think I heard somewhere that the Clintons had made the statement early on that Obambi could not win. It might work both ways for Hill, but who knows.
bttt
The experience factor will not be a credible argument against Palin after 4 years of the VP. However, I agree with you about her duties as VP. She will have to have important, high visibility jobs as a VP such as spearheading energy legislation through the Senate to claim on her resume. I think McCain would be one who was willing to give her responsibilities as VP.
I'm seeing this a couple of times in this thread. Please know that the Majority Leader, not the VP, decides what legislation comes to the floor and when. VP's role is limited to tie-breaker votes. As much as I would love to see it, SP will not "spearhead legislation". But if it comes to a 50/50 vote on legislation, she'll break the tie.
Dem victories in the cities depend on organized "get out the vote" operations to push people to get to the polls. These operations require money for people to go door to door and nudge people to go vote. If the money isn't there, then Dem votes go way down.
At risk: CO (9), NV (5), NM (5), OH (20), IA (7), VA (13). I think IN and FL are safe for McCain.
Of the above, IA looks like a blue state. CO could go either way, but the rest look like they'll go McCain.
Without CO and IA, McCain is at 272. So losing any single state drops him below 270.
Now, what states did Kerry carry that could swing to McCain?
PA (21) and MI (17), as well as NH (4). Distant chance of WI (10) and WA (11) but I don't believe those last two.
So if McCain can flip PA or MI, the math become very difficult for Obama.
If McCain gets 2 of MI, OH, PA then there's almost no way for Obama to win. If Obama gets all 3, he will win. If Obama gets 2, the election will be decided in places like CO, NM, NV.
Oh, it is not good for anyone in the black community who is wavering.
They'll be brow-beaten into submission by community organizers.
They'll be shunned by their families.
They'll be ridiculed in sermons by their pastors.
I don’t want to brag (ahem), but like this author, I called this race months ago as a McCain landslide. I even have money on it with several friends. I’m going to Vegas tomorrow. I plan on putting money on it there, although I’m sure the odds were better for me last week.
What did you see months ago?
But wait Hussein’s campaign says they have the secret weapon, the way to turn things around, they hinted about it this AM. Obama will unveil his economic plan...I mean call me terrified. More vagaries and sophism that the American people will laugh at, and Obama will continue to slide. You cant talk class warfare out of one side of your mouth and pro-business out the other. Obama had his 40% of the miserable lazy sh*t crowd to begin with. You know the slob who doesnt want to succeed , he just wants to tear someone else down. Obamas whole philosophy dating back to his Alinsky days is to get even! Its a hateful, demonic and UnAmerican way of looking at the world. His appearance on OReilly didnt win any converts, sounded too much like Kerry and his I have a plan crappola. I know we want to talk about conspiracy theories and voter fraud but we heard the same paranoia in 2004 and Bush won anyway. I was in a discussion with a black co-worker afew weeks ago and he agreed that Obama was Black Americas revenge on the white man. That is becoming apparent that he is the potentate of the angry and lazy of America.
The pressure will really be on Richardson to deliver New Mexico to the Obama Messiah, since Richardson burned his bridges with the Clintons!
If the Messiah loses, and the party submits to rebooting Clinton3 for 2012, it will be delicious to watch the tributes being demanded and paid, and the Clintons twisting knives in the defectors over the next 4 years.
I’m guessing the hispanic vote will be the vote that clinches it for McCain. They will probably be the swing vote of the future.
Not true. Obama is +7 with women. Howeever, remember that Gore lost with +12.
Thank God for this system. It is the best way possible to minimize the impact of vote fraud and insure that smaller states are not abused by larger states. If you go by popular vote all a corrupt party like the Rats has to do is control the ten largest urban areas, manipulate the vote in them, and they are guaranteed perpetual power.
