The latest celebrity to join in the group slamming of Sarah Palin is none other than Matt Damon as you can see in this Associated Press video which reeks of condescension. Damon, who has yet to attain public office condescendingly mocks Palin's credentials (emphasis mine):
I think there is a really good chance that Sarah Palin could president. And I think that's a really scary thing because I don't know anything about her. I don't think in eight weeks I'm going to know anything about her. I know that she was a mayor of a really, really small town. And she's governor of Alaska for less than two years. I just don't understand... I think the pick was made for political purposes but in terms of governance it's a disaster.

ACTORS or WRITERS not only live in a sphere of influence that is tainted, but hold themselves so elite compared to the rest of us as to feel the unending need to advise us on our voting selections. Despite the fact that many times they barely scraped by high school. I hold Whoopi and Sean Penn up as classic examples. Frankly, this superiority crap has gotten pretty damn old.
Based on the nonsensical diatribe above and his affiliation with our good pal Ben Affleck, I'm gonna have to stand by my noun. Idiot.
The Bourne Stupidity
Damon and his Hollywood elite friends (Clooney, Pitt, Afleck, etc.) stash their money in off shore accounts to protect from the prying, grubby hands of a potential B.H. Obama administration.
If he’s not going to vote for Sarah, what does it matter that he ‘know her any better?’
Oh, wait, that’s code for ‘there isn’t time in 8 weeks to find dirt.’
Do us all a favor Matty... sthu and continue doing what you do "best" - speaking other peoples words while being filmed.
And Obama’s been a Senator for how long, Matt?
And sponsored what legislation, Matt?
And governed what, Matt?
And accomplished what as a “community organizer”, Matt?
HMMMMM????
I get a chuckle every time I see the crying boy.
He’s going to be around for awhile.
Did Damon really want to know if Palin thinks dinosaurs roamed the earth “4000” years ago? Well Matt, I don’t think anyone believes dinosaurs were still on the earth 4000 years ago. Dumbass!
I like Matthew’s movies for the most part, and he does have every right to express his opinion - however lacking in common sense those opinions may be.
“Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi in her speech, praised Joe Biden, calling him the ‘full package,’ that’s what she called him, that’s the actual term she used, she called him the ‘full package.’ Now he’s getting phone calls from Senator Larry Craig.” —Jay Leno
I’m sorry Matt, I missed the high school you graduated from; I missed the college you graduated from; I missed the graduate school you graduated from.
Oh, you didn’t. You were busy making silly films in Hollyweird? Oh!
Only in America can you have real heroes attacked by make believe wanna bes.
America is smart enough to begin to see through the fog of political posturing/acting of Obama and his ilk.
And I can understand why Hollywood is scared. Because they have a warped sense of the Freedom of Speech- they want it all for themselves/liberals and nobody else.
Hollywood “actors” more than any other citizen can get to know politicians- they just have to get off their pampered a$$e$ and meet the candidates, better yet, have their people call each other. I’m sure that anyone else in his position could do it in less than 8 weeks. But maybe it’s not about opportunity, but capability.
As for being the mayor of a small town, imagine having paparazzis meeting and greeting you everyday. Accountability starts in really, really small towns. By the way, it was millions of young men from small towns that liberated Europe and created the historic fabric of WWII that enabled “actor” Matt to act heroically.
Speaking of heroic, it’s more heroic to stand up against the political cronies for 2 years as Alaska’s governor than to go along with your Hollywood buddies.
We can understand the fact that he doesn’t understand- after all, to most of America actors are 2 dimensional. Governance is not easy ask Arnold.
He should stop drinking the kool-Aid and make some phone calls.
I’ll take what I don’t know about Palin over what I DO know about Obama anyday.
I can save another $7 by not attending his movies..
Sorry Matt, people like Palin and all your pseudo intellectual bitchin’ in the world ain’t gonna change it.
I think once Palin sends him a personal note which states she doesn’t believe dinosaurs roamed the earth 4000 years ago, the campaign can expect his full and unbridled support.
