The latest celebrity to join in the group slamming of Sarah Palin is none other than Matt Damon as you can see in this Associated Press video which reeks of condescension. Damon, who has yet to attain public office condescendingly mocks Palin's credentials (emphasis mine):
I think there is a really good chance that Sarah Palin could president. And I think that's a really scary thing because I don't know anything about her. I don't think in eight weeks I'm going to know anything about her. I know that she was a mayor of a really, really small town. And she's governor of Alaska for less than two years. I just don't understand... I think the pick was made for political purposes but in terms of governance it's a disaster.

I’m no fan of Hollywood types trying to give their expert opinion. Most of them are uneducated and live in a sphere of influence that is tainted.
The thing that really annoys me about it is that it is bad for business. If they would shut up, they would end up making more money. In the end they complain about “free speech” because the people buying tickets boycott them.
With all that said, I don’t think he’s an idiot. Didn’t he write Good Will Hunting? Think what you may about actors, but I think constructing a plot, writing it, and having it appeal to people takes brains.
Hey Matt: Al Gore created the internet for this reason...... if you can’t learn anything about her after 8 weeks then you can’t be helped.
Matt should ask the Dixie Chicks what happens to your career when you put left wing politics ahead of the views of your fans. It's akin to a bartender pissing in the beer. People stop patronizing you.
Well Matt, if you know that then you do know something about her, don't you. Also, if you don't know anything more about her in eight weeks, then that's your fault, you idiot. There's all kinds of outlets on the Internet or elsewhere where reliable information is available. All you have to do is take advantage of it.
I just don't understand...
We know, Matt, we know. Now, just go back to being the useless clod you are and leave the Country's business to those of us who do know, and who are capable of preserving it.
Matt Damon, when is he running for President of F.A.G.?
He hasnt been making much of anything these days. A box office disaster.
If Matt knows anything about Obama after 20 months, I wish he would share his info.
This dumb ass doesnt realize even really, really small towns have people who go to the movies and may find his remarks elitist and offensive.
The libs love that "really, really small town" talking point. That would have more relevance if she had not moved on to become governor of one of the 57 (sic) states. It's equivalent to asking why the NY Jets would pay so much money to get Brett Favre at quarterback. He went to a small school (Southern Miss) that is not known as a football powerhouse. (Let's just ignore his Hall of Fame career at Green Bay for now.)
I wonder if Jimmy Kimmel is as stupid.. as Matt Damon..
“Soooooooo, you’re scared of your own ignorance?”
My thoughts exactly. “I’m ignorant and refuse to educate myself and that scares me.”
I don’t recall him making these same sorts of comments about Barack Obama. He must’ve been on his knees with something in his mouth if/when he questioned Obama’s candidacy.
“...better half of the Damon-Affleck duo.”
As in the better half of an rotten apple.(snicker)
"Dreck - How a Chicago Thug with a Harvard Degee Faked a Presidential Campaign: A Piped-piper fools villagers with distractions like a fancy laser light show and distateful jokes.....the crowd is mezmerized....but.... it takes someone from the crowd....an unknown.... to trip him... take his magical flute away to save the village from ruin..... ;)
I am just imagining what the animated version of 'Dreck'/Obama would look like....
First, how much does he really know about any of the candidates? I submit that at this point I know far MORE about Sarah Palin than I do about any of the others.
Second, why does he imagine we care what he thinks?
Third, he sounds like a girlie man! A frightened girlie man. Geeze I’m sick of them!
susie
“celebutard alert”
Aahhhh.... Damon insults thousands of small town mayors across America. Oh yes, that should go a long way towards encouraging their endorsements of his candidate, Obamination. NOT!
Matt Damon’s pretend-governmental experience in pseudo-CIA fantasy flicks and play-acting in fictitious “Global” events lends a certain amount of farcical whimsy to his statement.
It is like that sit-on-his-rump Actor Matthew Modine criticizing John McCain’s POW experience.
