Obama: Lipstick on a Pig (Did he just call Sarah Palin a pig and a stinky fish?)

Amie Parnes reports from Lebanon, VA:
Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

John McCain learned how to deal with evil during his time at the Hanoi Hilton. Keep your mouth shut, and let the good times roll. The evil will self-destruct. Obama is demonstrating that on a daily basis. Today is just too delicious. Let him think he’s on a roll, this will only get better!

Indeed - done right, this can be the famous "mushroom cloud" ad for McCain and Palin. 10 seconds of Palin addressing a huge, cheering crowd, including her "lipstick on a hockey mom" comment. Fade to Obambi making his "lipstick on a pig" comment. Then fade to "Change we can believe in?"Good point about showing a brief clip to show the original context. When Palin made the joke she was simply saying to the media and doomsayers, "We Hockey Moms are tough!" She didn't imply anything about the Obama campaign directly - simply that she was not going to cower but was a fighter.

I don't think this was a mistake or unplanned. It was deliberate....and it's just plain rude. The Democratic Party ATTACK MACHINE has decided to 'take off the gloves' and play hardball with their very NUANCED use of the POLITICS OF PERSONAL DESTRUCTION!

Double hit against GOP
Pig - reference to Palin.
‘Old fish wrapped in paper called change” - that was a reference to McCain.

Any idiot can see Obama meant to single out "Sarah" with his lipstick on a pig comment.
The Huckster needs to go to CNN, they'll love him there.

Great catch on your post 351 !
I clicked your link and thought I'd share a portion of one of the posts that caught my eye,
mainly because of the graphic, but also her (typical PUMA ?) glee in hussein's latest true color f'up:

But why did the Senator Cokehead do it ? This was planned and contrived, what was the gain ?My take is that they saw America go wild over Palin's sharp wit and figured, hey, we want some of that. So Obama and his team tried to copy her, having absolutely no understanding of the art and science of good humor. The anger and mean-spiritedness will always come through, and it's poison. Americans can smell it a mile away and reject it. [Air America, anyone?].
Plus, you can't manufacture likeability. You can't script authenticity. It's like John Kerry putting on a flannel shirt and ear flaps and pretending to be a hunter. Dukakis in a tank. The funny thing is, Obama's their nominee because Hillary's even less likeable. And now, along comes someone who's a lot more likeable than Obama. And there's not a damn thing he can do about it. Every time he tries--like this lipstick fiasco--he makes things that much worse.
Liberals are entirely clueless as to why America loves Palin.

That’s how I took it. These media blowhards try to make ever mole hill into a mountain. Of course, as a former hockey mom myself, I get it.

The only, live ‘evening’ news show is Greta. I wonder if she will mention it. Because honestly, a woman is going to take this on a different level than a man would.
