Add Keyes to the list of folks who have turned on Conservatives- bashing Palin. He is sounding like Chuck Baldwin in this rant.

The ‘wheels came off’ a few years ago. He’s gone off the deep end. Sad.

If there’s anyone who knows how to beat Barack Obama, it’s Alan Keyes.

I don’t consider this anything new for Keyes and his groupies..... He stomps his feet and pouts if he doesn’t get his way. If FR didn’t give him a platform at times he’d be totally obscure to the populace.

Alan Keyes, America’s Independent Party nominee for President, has written a commentary for WorldNetDaily

Now, there's a match made in heaven.....

Really Dr. Keyes, I have been one your most ardent fans, but to come out with this tripe when the choices we have dictated to us are Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin is a bit disengeneous, to say the least.

I left the GOP long before Dr. Keyes and even though I am not at all inspired by John McCain, his adding of Sarah Palin to the ticket at least got me off the sidelines of this election.

And I don't think Dr. Keyes should be postulating about Mrs. Palins immortal soul. That is up to God and not you, Dr. Keyes. I don't care what church you belong to sir, you are not "in charge" of who gets to Heaven or not!!!!!!

Dr. Keyes, you only serve to diminish yourself in the conservatives who have supported you and your message in the past.

Keyes has not been a conservative period.
He has obvious mental issues and would not want his
endorsement for any conservative candidate I would be supporting.

Keyes really is a brilliant man and he can debate pretty much anyone else under the table, but I think his all-or-nothing approach about any and everything has worn out his supporters.

I expect the MSM to begin paying attention to him again very soon. Ultra-conservative, against McPalin? He'll be their darling!

Alan Keyes is just one more frustrated, angry American - he happens to be a little bit more nuts than the rest of us.

Not judging his passion, just his prominence.

Wow. And to think I wasted time defending this guy.

Pretty sad. He couldn't get the nod for the Liberaltarians or the Constipation party, so now he's the nominee for America's Independence Party?

Alan, Alan, Alan. You gotta know when to hang it up...

Alan Keyes should try getting elected to anything. I used to love him and but he really drawn himself into a box. Alan Keyes should be out on the campaign trail with McCain and Palin. He should be working to get conservatives elected and helping to rally the minority vote but instead he continues to marginalize himself into a corner of ineffectiveness. He is a smart man and he should be able to make the case for conservatism to more than the very narrow group that still supports him. Alan Keyes has wasted so much promise. No one listens to him anymore but himself.

It amazes me how many Christians like Keyes ignore the bible and ignore the fact that God rarely lifts up the self righteous to greatness. He lifts up flawed men and women, sinners, and makes them into more than they could ever be without him. Alan Keyes should know this. I hope Alan casts off his yoke of bitterness. Far too many conservatives seem to value the yoke of marginalization and demonization so much that they are afraid of victory and like the man who buried his masters money because he feared him so they sit and point unable to see a blessing when it is right in front of them. Alan Keyes sadly has become an example of how very small a man can become through sheer force of his intellect.
Men of God were never small men, they weren’t marginalized loners navel-gazing themselves into Heaven.

I think there is a whole lot of projection and very little trust and faith.

Perhaps these two believe that they could not work with McCain without desctructive compromises and subsequently do not believe that others can either.

Then the do not seem to believe that *perhaps* Palin can do what they do not beleive themselves able to do.

Both men should know of Joseph, Esther, and Daniel who all served unbelievers whithout desstructive compromise.

So I like to think that perhaps Palin can walk in their shoes.
