What's the difference between Palin and Muslim fundamentalists? Lipstick

John McCain announced that he was running for president to confront the "transcendent challenge" of the 21st century, "radical Islamic extremism," contrasting it with "stability, tolerance and democracy." But the values of his handpicked running mate, Sarah Palin, more resemble those of Muslim fundamentalists than they do those of the Founding Fathers. On censorship, the teaching of creationism in schools, reproductive rights, attributing government policy to God's will and climate change, Palin agrees with Hamas and Saudi Arabia rather than supporting tolerance and democratic precepts. What is the difference between Palin and a Muslim fundamentalist? Lipstick.

People who claim to be conservatives that are not pro-Palin are RINO’s in drag.

A guy at work also used that one on me. I said that using that logic, every form of government is a theocracy (since even the avowed atheist states have an ideology that is a form of non god religion).

This form of thinking will lead to purges one of these days.

>>>Juan Cole became a member of the Bahá’í Faith in 1972 as an undergraduate at Northwestern, and the religion later became a focus of his academic research. He resigned from the Bahai Faith in 1996 after disputes with Bahá’í leadership concerning the Bahá’í system of administration.<<<

No wonder that the article has the tone and rancor it has. Baha’is are, by far, some of the kindest, fairest, best centered and most decent human beings I’ve ever met. Their religious views might be called Quaker with a Middle Eastern twist. The Baha’i writings tell believers that the United States a shining light for the world to follow. The Baha’is are tolerant to a fault, and explictly expound that we are one human family. The administrative structure of the Baha’i faith closely resembles a New England town meeting, and believers vote in representatives to handle the affairs of national assemblies.

The fact that this writer couldn’t put up with that tells me all I need to know about him.

There are quite a few on this site who don't like her, and many who don't only because she is a very committed pro life Christian.

While I am still not very excited about McCain being the President, I got to hand it to him, Palin was an excellent pick. This has fractured the DNC and the GOP elites.

The ones here that do not like her are the blue bloods and RINO’s, screw them all.

My hope is they all move to the Democrat party where they belong.

They have been hyping this on PMSNBC.

What's the big liberal panic here? There isn't one issue of national importance that has anything to do with prehistoric monkey bones. Unless they want the Department of the Interior to try to find Bigfoot.

"Conservative Christian = Extremist?
Yup, the Rabid Left has gone completely off the rails."

This isn't new. This has been the essence of the American left since about 1830. The war has always been against the gospel of Jesus Christ. All else is just a smoke screen.
