MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channels coverage of the election.
That experiment appears to be over.
After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.
The change which comes in the home stretch of the long election cycle is a direct result of tensions associated with the channels perceived shift to the political left.
The most disappointing shift is to see the partisan attitude move from prime time into whats supposed to be straight news programming, said Davidson Goldin, formerly the editorial director of MSNBC and a co-founder of the reputation management firm DolceGoldin.

Do you happen to have links to those blog postings? Very interesting, if true... It wouldn’t surprise me in the least, really.
Bill Cunningham just announced that Sarahcuda will be on his show next Sunday! (Or so the the McCain camp promised. That’s like trusting a Weather Channel weekly forecast....)
Remember the leaked tape of Mike Murphy and Peggy Noonan last week?
I’ll bet they raised hell with the suits at GE.
Who is David Gregory? I hardly watch that sick channel.
Excellent that Keith and Chris are off the anchor. How does that tingle down your leg feel now Chris? Hopefully the next stop is out the door.
sofa, someone at that hideous network is going to attempt homicide or suicide. They are that demented.
ROFL... Isn’t it hysterical that they think Olbermann (well most of them) is UNbiased? If MSNBC was the only station they could “stomach” what does that say about them personally - not interested in truth, only DNC talking points, and anything other than that is “anti-liberal” bias! ROFL... Boy the folks at DU are having a really bad day today, aren’t they?

I was going to say, isn’t Gregory another RAT lover as well? He is just as biased as that evil Olberman!
I never understood how Olbermann was given the anchor’s chair at a network that wants to project fairness. It’s as if Fox decided to give the anchor chair to Rush, someone I love, but has never tried to fool people into thinking that he will be balanced.
LMAO
I saw his commentary right after Sarah spoke at the convention on PBS. He didn’t seem that “obviously” biased really. He actually complimented Palin on her speech.
However, I’ve only heard him comment on things that one night (I don’t watch the cable “news” shows). According to others on this board he’s ALMOST as bad as the rest of them. Perhaps it’s just that I’m so used to the blatant obvious DNC talking points being broadcast as news that I didn’t notice his bias? I guess that’s possible! LOL
Your right, seems to me Gregory was just as evil during the convention, it’s in one of my post during the Republican convention threads, but it would take more research than I willing to do at this hour
