Dan rather tried this 4 years ago with forged documents. If the N.Y. times run a front page story anyway demeaning her son afflicted with downs syndrome they may never recover. The backlash could be catastrophic to them and thier candidate.

Maybe the NYT will have medical experts say she impacted Trig’s well being in utero.. ( although chromosome wise, he would be already configured in the first trimester I think..)
But really, i feel they will try to say she has been negligent..either while pregnant, or now.

I bet you're right and this is just Drudge sensationalism. I read on FR somewhere today that S. Palin changed Trig's diaper right before her speech on Wednesday. I bet they have a picture of that.
Yes, one obviously can. But one can also wear clothing that covers up the pregnancy. I know this very well, as during my wife's recent 5th pregnancy, I was commenting to her up until the 8th month that you really couldn't tell she was pregnant. I've know another woman who was pregnant with twins in high school who was able to cover that pregnancy up.
And I'll still fall back on - what's the point? Gov. Palin was pregnant prior to her marriage. While she was, I'm sure, unhappy about her daughter's pregnancy, it is beyond ridiculous to go to these elaborate lengths, particulary when the fallout is so high. As I said, even if she were just an Alaskan governor, trying to "swap pregnancies" like this is something that no rational person would ever attempt, much less a public figure.
