WASHINGTON (AP) – John McCain pledges that if elected president, he'd appoint Democrats to his Cabinet.

He says there's nothing partisan about tackling the nation's toughest problems.

In an interview taped today for airing tomorrow, McCain tells CBS's "Face the Nation" he intends to have the best people in America in Cabinet.

It's believed that McCain closely considered Senator Joe Lieberman as a running mate. The Connecticut independent is a former Democrat.

That is because Republican representatives sold their souls for pork and sold out their supporters.

Whoa. Back up, Jack. What do you think constitutes "Pork?" "Pork" is the money a rep brings home to build roads, schools, and parks. "Pork" is the projects a rep is successful in obtaining financing to initiate.

If you want to argue about the budget, don't argue about earmarks and pork, argue about The Budget! Argue that The Budget itself must be cut, not that earmarks are bad. Once the budget is set, that money is gone. Spent. Lost. Getting a piece of it returned to your state is the best a rep can do, not the worst.

Well, it’s pretty common to appoint members of the other party to your cabinet.

Bush’s Secy of Transportation (Mineta) was a Democrat. Clinton’s Secy of Defense was GOP (Cohen). There is lots of precedent for this.

That’s correct. We’re a moderate country with a 51% - 49% demograthic, like it or not. The only way we’re going to win is by wooing the middle ground until they understand conservatives have the right idea. We’re not going to win by your tactics. Your tactics push the conservative cause back eight to twelve years or more.

And yes, we would rather lose your vote than millions of middle ground and undecided voters.

The media is getting on my last never. Sen McCain NEVER considered Lieberman from all accounts not to mention the first time the media ran with it, Lieberman said no. Guess the media doesn’t realize they and the power brokers in the Republican Party were duped by McCain to keep a secret.

Slowly, very slowly put down the cup of Kool-Aid. There might still be hope for you, but I really doubt it. Take deep breaths and repeat "big spenders are not conservatives." Say it over and over and over again until things before your eyes come into focus.

Then look at one of those chubby pubbie porkers that got tossed out of office in the last go around. Does he have that lean and hungry look, like Cassius. Keep focusing until you start to see the outlines of the big fat belly that belies a porker.

Once the liberal poison that has polluted your system is diminished to the point that you can see a porker for what he is next try exercising that grey matter between your left and right ears. Try saying over and over again "we the people" and keep focused on the notion that your elected representatives work for you.

Should you be unable to complete this task it is recommended that you join a camp of liberals engaged in colective ritual suicide over the thought of Palin even drawing breath in what is supposed to be a liberal universe.
