That’s an impressive crowd!

Have a look at the comments section below the article at the link, the left are losing it, they feel the loss coming!

Go Sarah!

My guess is that had they had even the slightest clue that so many people were going to be inspired by this ticket that they would have gone after a much larger venue.

That rings true. As we entered, there was a gigantic sound system just to the edge of the hangar that was very painful to the ears to walk by, even 100 ft away. We had to walk WAY back to find a spot from which we could see the podium, and it was so far away that people at the podium were barely visible. Yet by the time the rally started, so many more people had poured in behind us that we were only at about the halfway point, depth-wise. So the latest arrivers were maybe twice the distance from the sound system as we. I could always hear the words, though I sometimes had to cup my ears. But I felt really sorry for people far behind us who obviously could not hear very much. Two or three times, we heard chants from behind, saying things like "turn it up!" or "we can't hear" or similar!

So yes, I think the organizers were blindsided by the actual numbers that showed up. I know that in N. Colorado, there were so many more people wanting to go than there were available tickets, that the GOP groups passing them out were giving single tickets to groups of people to share, wherever possible.

repeating his "change is coming" mantra

I wonder how often the MSM applies marginally insulting words like "mantra" to McCain, vs how often they do it to Obama, eh?

Whomever is able to attend McCain/Palin events get wide angle shots of the crowd. At least on the internet we can show the crowd size and get past MSM lies. Friday at Cedarburg, WI there was a large crowd (20,000+) but AP reported 1,000. Unfortunately all photo’s posted were closeups no way to visually show the MSM lies.

I was at this rally. We got up at 6am, drove to the event before 7:30am. The line of cars went back for 2 miles in 4 directions. We had to walk 25 minutes to the line. The line was 2 miles long. I have been to KISS concerts and The Who which were shorter lines. It took over an hour to get to the event in the line. Finally we got inside around 9:45am, and we were FAR in the back of the large crowd. The count of tickets for the event EXCEEDED FIFTEEN THOUSAND!! And people were still trying to get tickets and get inside around 11am while the local candidates were speaking. Finally, they just began to let anyone in, even if they did not have a ticket. These photos do NOT do justice, as you cannot really judge the depth or width of the hanger space.

Here's the pic and caption I expect to find: "Only 7 people showed up to greet the McCain/Palin ticket at their Colorado Springs "rally."

Yes, but I think McCain likes adulation

But McPain says he is a maverick and he goes by what he believes in, not adulation.

So in other words, McPain is a liar. Yes, I agree with you. He is a liar. Why should we vote for him? Because of who he picked as the veep who has no real power except as president of the Senate?

That’s Sarah’s plane. There was a thread showing it being painted shortly after the announcement. I sure hope that means they will start to work separately and double the chance of having them local. The kicker is that John doesn’t want to draw smaller crowds. Maybe John and Cindy can borrow Piper. :)

Actually, I've been looking almost all day for good photos of this event because we knew the crowds were huge. The only thing that came close was this one from the Denver Post Photobucket The only thing the libs can say is "the facilities were inadequate and people were suffering in the heat." -- You know, like McCain-Palin want people to die.

It would be great to add a quote of the mediot "few dozen" to the photo and turn it into a thumbnail to the source article.

Great email material.

So the Denver paper DID lie/minimize the McCain-Palin crowd: They show a straggling group of people AS THEY WERE WALKING IN, then use of picture set between rows of cars (to further limit the view and take up space in the photo) so even those shown are trivialized.

That pick was 2% of the line you can see continuing on in the distance for 2 MILES! That is how we walked to the event.
