Convincing an Austrian tank driver to do anything based on conservative principles would, indeed, be shear luck.
Profit, fame or adoration appear the only avenues to motivate this Eurowienie.

I called. The automated menu was a bit different ("Press 1 for English," etc). I weighed in on those pieces of legislation they have on their automated menu (I had to call 3 times to do it):
AB 2567 - Harvey Milk Day (NO!)
AB 2747 - End of Life Care (NO!)
SB 60 - Drivers Licenses for Illegal Aliens (NO!).
For SB 375, you have to talk to a representative during "normal business hours" -- 9AM to 5PM, M-F.
I'll be calling tomorrow, urging the Governor to veto SB 375.
If ya remind me, I'll ping it to the McClintock ping list tomorrow and see if we can get some phone calls going. I know he was very opposed to this crazy legislation, writing about it back in June.
Preferred Growth Scenario [Sen. Tom McClintock California Senate speech on urban planning bill]
The California legislature has passed SB 375, the nation's first attempt to tie land-use planning and transporation investments to greenhouse gas emissions in the name of fighting global warming. It is currently awaiting Schwarzenegger's signature.
The media is expecting Schwarzenegger to sign this monstrosity. If you can find the time to make a phone call Today, please do.
Phone: (916) 445-2841
(Press 1 for English, Press 2 to comment on legislation, Press 0 to talk to representative)
Just tell them you "oppose SB 375" or ask that he veto it.
The legislation: Transportation planning: travel demand models: sustainable communities strategy: environmental review.
He would be willing to live in a refrigerator box sized human storage unit five stories up always on the lookout for thugs who ride down the tracks to look for places they can rob people then hop back on the train to leave the scene of the crime?
BTTT
BTT!
His office has stated ‘he’s not signing anything until the budget is passed’. Then he’ll sign it I’m sure. He’s been putting land use planners in all the appointed positions he can, since taking office, so it’s pretty clear how he feels about socialist block housing for the citizens of California.
Thanks for pingin' it, xcamel.
Any phonecalls from folks who can help us Californians fend off this monstrosity are much appreciated.
If it passes here, other states will be next. :-(
The state's legislature recently green-lighted the measure, and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R), who aims to make California a trendsetter in fighting global warming, is expected to sign it into law once the state balances its long-overdue budget. If he does, the state's Air Resources Board will set emission-reduction targets for 17 major metropolitan planning organizations responsible for housing and transportation projects. A separate bill, also expected to be signed by the governor, would designate financial resources to these organizations.
You broke the telephone! All I get is a busy signal >:=)
Good luck.
Got any hot stock tips for California moving van companies?
This is why you must hold them all to account, regardless of political party, before each election!!!
They all just flat ignore ya once they git elected!!! It's yer traditional "done deal," don'tcha know???
The same is true of the wilting Juan McGore/Sarah PALIN team of supposed "reformers!"
Obviously no, but he’d be willing to live in a condo located near enough to train tracks to hear and see the trains. He always admired the old stationmaster homes in the train depots or crossings in Europe.
No I don’t.
Maybe we need to call the governor again to find out.
