"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
This is the kind of response that wins elections--the people who can't be swayed by anything but their feelings about a person. No ad or speech is going to sway them.
George H. W. Bush couldn't speak well, Quayle was not a popular pick, but they won because people just didn't LIKE Dukakis.
Similarly, some voters could have huge disagreements with Palin, but so like the idea of her, and her persona, that they vote for McCain.
Check this garbage heap out. Think taxpayer dollars. The NEA has got to go.

McCain has all the appropriate creds and gravitas, but Palin is overshadowing him bigtime when it comes to charisma and excitement. She has a killer smile that lights up the place and, unlike Obama, she exudes genuineness from every pore. When you add to that the fact that she’s right on virtually every issue, she is one compelling package, the most exciting conservative I’ve seen since Reagan.

Hee hee... Obama has to do halftime entertainment for rock concerts to draw those sort of numbers.
People said this when Ronald Reagan spoke.
It is just possible what we are witnessing here with the introduction of Sara Palin is the awakening of “the silent majority”.
There are so many folks who believe in what she said in her speech and have believed in it for years but were simply intimidated by the megaphone of the left wing media blaring in their ears day after day after day. Palin has managed to overwhelm the noise and deliver her message, one eagerly awaited by the greater majority of Americans as represented by a population that id 85% Christian and by a wide margin believes in the sanctity of life.
There is no stopping now and she must continually move forward with her message in an unapologetic way, continuing to exhibit the amazing confidence and force she showed us on Wednesday evening.
“A day after McCain gave what many critics panned as a flat acceptance speech, Palin proved to be a popular draw.”
Please, please, please bring her to Johnstown, PA. She will help defeat that pig Murtha.
The only problem for McCain is that once they split up on the campaign trail, she’s going to get huge turnouts, and no one is going to show up to see him without her.
