Looks like a Cat III. You hate to see this back to back.

It’s a good thing they’ve got Governor Jindal down there.

Ike looks like it could be heading towards the big easy. You mean the "Big Lazy". Three years later and they're still recovering from Katrina while the rest of the region was back. Our tax money at work providing massages, gentlemen's clubs beers and tips, and "temporary housing" up until the current time.
Absolutely disgusting.

"Our tax money at work providing massages, gentlemen's clubs beers and tips..." Maybe so, but a good bit of the money has been needlessly squandered.

I hope they were able to reschedule their “debauchery parade” for this past week, because it doesn't look good for it again by later this coming week.
I wouldn't care if the city would simply go under, permanently. Anyone who builds under water level on the gulf deserves to be flooded.

Amen. A strong and competent leader, what a difference from the ineffectual Kathleen Blanco, the true failed leader of Katrina.

Make permanent improvements concerning energy and commerce, then let the rest of it become long term geological investments in energy.
A few million years later we can drill where Obama Hussein Biden supporters once lived.

Let’s see what was the difference...Bush was still President. Nagin was still mayor of NOLA...hmm...what was different this time...oh...

There’s nothing wrong with New Orleans a million truckloads of dirt wouldn’t solve.

“I like Ike.” I have an original campaign button with this slogan. Ike was the first president I remember.

Theres nothing wrong with New Orleans a million truckloads of dirt wouldnt solve.I think more like a billion train car loads would be necessary.

Don’t get so worked up. Set you self down and have a plate of crawfish, some beer, and listen to some jazz and zydeco. That work will still be there for you tomorrow and the next day.

A friend from Louisiana tells me 1/2 half of the state is under water, and the other half is under indictment

Okay, FEMA needs to give those subhumans their debit cards BEFORE they evacuate this time.
