.....Why were you here in the Twin Cities? And how did you get into the Excel Center?
I was here in Minneapolis for the IVAW convention and thought Id stick around for this.
Well Ive been a Ron Paul supporter since the beginning of this campaign. Since before this campaign started, actually, Ive been a fan of Paul. So Ive got a lot of friends in the Ron Paul crowd. And hes got a lot of delegates in there. More than the Republican Party is willing to admit. And the fact that I got into there is proof of that. One of Pauls alternate delegates got me a guest pass....

Code Pinko or Paulhriod; what’s the difference?
MSNBC for sure. Olbermann was overheard talking about ‘freebies”
Ping to the other article
Something I mentioned on another thread, I wonder if both accusations are true? There where several protesters, Adam isn’t a part of Code Pink so he did most likely get it from whom he said (a Ron Paul delegate), maybe some of the same delegates worked with MSNBC to find these Pinkos to give their passes to. Its not like someone could freely just walk out of the RNC and up to code pink and not be yelled down. There had to be a friendly go-between that helped the protesters stand-down and know the delegates where ‘friendly to their cause’.
Oklahoma is a winner take all state and yet we had some Paul people that wanted to vote for Paul. One was in a district won by Huckabee and he released his delegates but the other one was in my district and we went solidly for McCain.
Everyone going to the Convention said they would support the nominee but guess what some “lied” but they had Sen Inhofe to deal with. Paul didn’t get enough votes in OK to mention but yet they wanted to vote for him.
Don’t think you realize what a tough time some of us have had with his people at our local Conventions. You should see the OK GOP Platform where they managed to themselves on the Platform Committee thanks to someone at OK GOP. It was only good for the trash can.
Code Pink are all-around leftists.
Paul supporters are generally your old-fashion Robert Taft conservatives: strongly anti-war and strongly anti-big federal government. Ron Paul and the vast majority of his supporters hold pretty outstanding views on domestic issues.
Several states are winner take all and this happened with. I laughed that some didn’t show up because there where at parties put on by Paul’s own counter rally, and the Paul delegates in Massachusetts freely swapped their votes to McCain when asked if they wanted to provide a unanimous show of support.
You keep telling yourself that...
no surprised then
I met a bunch of paul supporters when in NH and they were total nutcases
You know, that is actually kinda low for Mr. Inhofe. It is not like Paul was going to win the convention vote or anything. I especially found it bad that the speaker woman didn't mention Paul's name when he got votes from Alaska, Washington, West Virginia and Oregon.
Paul recieved 1.2 million primary votes. It doesn't do anyone any good to push that wing of the conservative movement under the bus while allowing a leftist like Joe Lieberman to freely speak at the convention.

What'd they do? Add an anti-federal reserve plank to the platform like some Paul supporters reportedly did in Idaho? Oh no....
LOL
The ones I saw in NH were also like that.
they wanted to get rid of the CIA,FBI, homeland etc didn’t care and thought the Govt should not interfere with marriage even if a father marries his daughter or a woman marries and has sex with her dog
wasn’t it paul supporters who also attacked Hannity???
Just as someone predicted last night that’s how those moonbats got in - Ron Paul.
How in the world is this low for Mr. Inhofe. OK is a winner take all state. The Paul delegates went there with full knowledge of this and the agreement they would honor their delegate contract and vote for McCain.
As for the rest:
1. You must win the required number of primaries/caucuses to be placed into nomination. No other candidates qualified for this except John McCain. Someone yelled “Ron Paul” ...there was no microphone to be cut. It could have just been some random person. Only official delegates can nominate.
2. It does not matter because the only choices are 1) Those placed into nomination who are eligible or 2) abstain/not voting...since McCain was the only candidate nominated and eligible any votes for other candidates are counted as “other”.
3. If someone is “pledged” to a candidate they only remain pledged if that candidate is eligible to be nominated. Romney, Paul, Huckabee, etc were not eligible or were not placed into nomination, thus their delegates automatically become released.
4. Because there were and now are technically 0 Ron Paul delegates because once the roll call began, the only candidate eligible was McCain. They either became McCain or Not Voting.
woulda made a good test for the face recognition systems out there.
You know what would have kept the Paultards and CodePinkos out, RealID badges to get in. :-> Heck, put a Blackwater logo on it and a note that says “brought to you by Dibold” and they would freak and run away.
ping, thought you may be interested.
RP is not the R nominee. He didn’t have any chance of becoming the nominee. As I understand it, many of his delegates a) handed over their badges for the McCain vote, so as not to have to hold their noses and vote for a liberal or b) abstained c) did vote for Palin. d) attempted to build bridges and network with other delegates on issues of common concern.
So even if this story is true (possible, but doubtful), the delegate who handed over his badge was only one of approximately 260 RP delegates and alternates attending the convention.
In other news, the Log Cabin Republicans endorsed John McCain, not Hussein Obama, Barr, Baldwin, or Nader.
They have a video clip on the page of part of the interview. As Kokesh is in the midst of trashing McCain on veterans issues, he totally ignores a soldier just a few feet away as he walks by.
Adam Kokesh didn’t interrupt a speech! Ron Paul didn’t interrupt a speech. They don’t need to do anything to them. The only interruptions came from Code Pink and they were escorted out and are NOT CONNECTED TO RON PAUL. Ron Paul is a true conservative and Sarah Palin is much closer to Ron Paul up here in Alaska than those tired DC mainstream republicans. DC is in for a huge shake up and people better get used to hearing a lot more from voices that sound just like Paul.
