"Community Organizer"

Obama is still kvetching about Mayor Giuliani's and Gov. Palin's jabs at community organizers. Ablaze with indignation, they demand a backlash from insulted community organizers coast to coast.
How many can there be? This might be a news flash Dems, but 98.3 percent of Americans have no clue what a "community organizer" is, what they do or who pays them. Before Obama arrived on the scene, the only community organizers I had heard of were the Al Sharpton types who bus in aggrieved screamers to shake down governments and corporations.
Of course, the new leftist definition of "community organizer" includes everyone from your Brownie troop leader to the Son of Man. If that's the new line, community organizing is apparently all that stuff Americans do already — after our real jobs. That a few actually demand payment to do this crap makes us think that some people are over-educated, under-employed and more than a little greedy.
All four ExLg bloggers have a life littered with community work, civic clubs, church service, professional organizations and informal assistance big and small. And just like everyone else in the nation, we do it free of charge.
But since The One got his feelings hurt, let's look at what those big, mean Republicans said about his storied profession. Rudy Giuliani had one (one!) comment...

They get paid? I'd have thought they'd do it out of the goodness of their hearts.
My first thought when I heard the phrase "community organizer" was that he was one of the guys that rounded up the homeless for those bus rides to the polls on election day and made sure they all got their malt liquor and cigarettes after they voted.
I think it's going to become one of those terms of description that refers to only a single example, like "grassy knoll." Can anyone find a reference to a grassy knoll anywhere other than in Dealy Plaza in Dallas? Likewise can anyone point me to a "community organizer" other than Obama?
Community organizers are the folks you saw in the streets breaking windows and fighting with the cops.

On the streets and prisons. Its not about jobs. Its about a control of the down and out.
Blame a certain group who caused the lot in life and indoctrinate them.

I'm reading "Rules for Radicals", by Saul Alinsky, who created the term and concept of community organizer. He tells what one is, what they do, and the type of person they should be. It's wild! It's like the man is predicting the likes of Obambi! Scary, too.
Besides, one can't miss seeing in print, Alinksy's kudos to Lucifer (aka Satan), as the "first radical". How about that? Obama is in a long line of radicals, from Satan to Alinksy to Obama.
I first got the book to see for myself Alinksy's hats-off to Satan. I wasn't disappointed.
Freaked out that this man is the Dem nominee, but not surprised.
Obama has Marxist Radical all over him- from his associations, to the paltry resume he sports.

They are parasites. They don’t solve poverty. They use it as a pretext for political organizing and yet more “community organizing”.
I didn't hear any jabs at community organizers .. what I heard was well deserved ridicule of Bronco Bomber's contention that his time spent as a community organizer somehow qualified him to be POTUS ... oh, and that you also have to count count the fact that he is running for president as qualifying him for the job as well

Attacking community organizers like Obama, Sharpton, and Jackson cause them to attack because this is the only source of income they have! A crimnial enterprise that exploits their own people and the taxpayers of this country
A blogger (I forget who or where) who grew up under Communism noted that in Communist countries, ‘community organizers’ were paid by the State and called “Commisars”.
I have been a Community Organizer. It was part of the “Poverty Program’, and for people who could not find jobs elsewhere. We never knew from one season to the next if there would be enough grant money to fund the program again. If I were Obama, I would be ashamed to boast about having such a job, but it is work that did pay a small amount and helped to keep a single mother and family alive.

TV coverage of Gustav shows there are still properties there where NO ONE has cleaned up debris from 3 years ago.

I should have said that being a “Community Organizer” is better than being a “dumpster diver”. I was glad to have a job. I had two years of college education then, but not even that was required. Some “Community Organizers” had less than a high school education. We did whatever we could do to help the community. It was sort of like making a job for yourself.
We can only hope that we haven't lost the vote of the one community organizer that votes Republican.
