Sarah Palin and Motherhood September 2, 2008 on 1:35 pm | In Children, Election, Sarah Palin, Working Women Email This Post Email This Post
I am extremely disappointed in the choice of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential candidate of the Republican Party. I will still vote for Senator McCain, because I am very concerned about having a fundamental leftist, especially one who is a marvelous orator, as President.
......
Im stunned - couldnt the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didnt want a mature woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?
I am haunted by the family pictures of the Palins during political photo-ops, showing the eldest daughter, now pregnant with her own child, cuddling the familys newborn. When Mom and Dad both work full-time (no matter how many folks get involved with the children), it becomes a somewhat chaotic situation. Certainly, if a child becomes ill and is rushed to the hospital, and youre on the hotline with both Israel and Iran as nuclear tempers are flaring, wheres your attention going to be? Where should your attention be? Well, once you put your hand on the Bible and make that oath, your attention has to be with the government of the United States of America.

IMHO...Dr. Laura is a twit...and I’m sure Gov. Palin is not going to loose any sleep over what she thinks!
Dr. Laura is a skanky old homebreaker who needs to STFU NOW!
I’d like to see the spotlight of scrutiny fall on Dr. Laura’s life. Then let her run for elected office.
Dr Laura think she has the answer to EVERYTHING....
I stopped listening Her waaaaay before WLAC pulled the plug on Her show.
Life is chaotic. Live with it Dr. Laura.
susie
I heard Dr. Laura read this blog on-air before she posted it. Wasn’t too happy with what she said, although I have had some of the same concerns.
As for Bristol cuddling her little brother, so what? I’m fourteen years older than my brother and I did lots of cuddling. Girls/women just DO that...Dr. Laura should know if she’s such a great counselor.
Dr. Laura also needs to look into Jewish history, heck look at world history, to see that the “women at home with kids” is a rather recent development. Hasn’t she ever read Proverbs 31?
STFU!
Would you be happier with Joe Biden as VP?
Jealous much Laura????
sounds like somebody is in a snit because SHE didn’t get chosen...
Dr. Laura could always offer her services as Palin’s official nanny. /s
Pipe down, Dr. Laura...and for goodness sakes, get a bikini wax.
Geeze, I used to have a lot of respect for Dr Laura. No more.
Yes, I don’t think Dr. Laura spent her life doing nothing but baking cookies and getting the crud out of the shower when she was a “mom.” Is that really what kids want in a mother, in any case?

Palin’s nomination is flushing out the flakes....Dr. Laura, Peggy Nooner, Mike Murphy, Kay Bailey, and more that I’ve missed. Good riddance as far as I’m concerned.
Sanctimonious old prig
I’m glad that Dr.Laura’s life turned out so perfect.
