McCain presidential campaign strategist Steve Schmidt went on the record with the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz today, revealing the depths to which the mainstream media has sunk in their efforts to destroy the family of Republican vice presidential pick Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Schmidt said that the campaign has been deluged with demands from reporters that the Palin family submit to DNA testing to assuage baseless rumors promulgated by the Democratic party's favorite website, the Daily Kos.
Schmidt accused the media of being "on a mission to destroy" Sarah Palin.
Kurtz writes that Markos Moulitsas, the founder of the Daily Kos, believes the made up allegations against Palin and her daughter are legitimate. Kurtz fails to note that Moulitsas writes for the Post's sister publication, Newsweek.
Schmidt also said reporters are demanding to see the birth certificate for Palin's newborn.
The news media is treading on dangerous ground with their despicable behavior regarding the Palin family. They are arousing an anger in Americans all across the country who see themselves in the Palin family and are beyond outrage over how they have been trashed.
John McCain would be really, really, really bad as President (Partial repeal of First Amendment, fondness of illegal aliens, devotee of the Global Warming scam), Hillary Clinton would have been absolutely horrendous, BHO would be unspeakably ghastly.
Come 4 November, if it appeared that the Electoral College vote would be close, and it further appeared that the vote in my state would be close, it could be said that the election would come down to my vote (see Math Against Tyranny) and if it was up to me to decide "BHO or John McCain", my vote would be John McCain. Otherwise, I would write-in Dick Cheney or Duncan Hunter
With the events of last Friday, I now find myself in the situation of a kid looking at a plate of liver and lima beans, who nonetheless knows that if he can get past that, there's apple pie and ice cream waiting..
I'm not fond of liver and I hate lima beans, but if I have to eat them to get to the apple pie, I'll do it.
D*nm! NOW you tell me.
The HTML sandbox didn't say anything about that.
I bet there's no ice-water in Hell.
And a lot of fags will be burning in hell.
hint: look up the definition of fag
Without looking it up, I’m guessing “piece of firewood” or “cigarette”.
You have to be patient with Markos. He doesn't know anything about female anatomy or physiology.
Ow! That's gonna leave a mark! (I love it!)
Thanks for the ping!
I thought nobody had ever been able to locate a valid marriage license for Obama's parents in the first place.
I don't think it's that baby the press is questioning. Just a guess.
I'm trying to think like the press here (an ugly thing to do but necessary to try to get where they are coming from). While I'm willing to accept the Palin's facts about their personal family matters on their face simply because I don't see any benefit to them in their lying about such personal matters, the fact is that we only know when Trig was born from what the Palins said. Apparently some news records regarding the announcement of April 18th births in Wasilla was scrubbed (whether true or not, I don't know or care).
We also only know whether Trig was full term, early or late based on what Palin says. Unfortunately I've known women who play around with those dates with their own pregnancies and apparently this is also something the press is counting on outing.
Lastly, we only know that Bristol is 5 months pregnant from the Palins. Unfortunately women tend to show at different times in their pregnancies so one can't tell by looking at any pregnant woman if she is 4 months or sometimes even 6 months pregnant. This is yet another thing the media is salivating over and working us into a frenzy over by demanding DNA testing (which itself is ridiculous).
I will only add that in 1975 my sister-in-law gave birth to a baby boy in January of 1975 and to another baby boy in December of 1975. I think that's a highly unusual thing but it can possibly happen which is what the Dems/media are probably hoping to find here. IMO it is wildly far-fetched and really none of their business. Asking or demanding for family DNA tests is really going beyond the pale even for liberals.
Time magazine reports that his mother was 3 mos preg before she married. Found it in an online search.
I never doubted for a minute that you had a source but I don't trust Time Magazine on much of anything. Sure they said she was pregnant before she married Obama Sr. but did they come up with a marriage license? I doubt it. I've seen sources who said Obama Sr. had a legal wife in Kenya when he knocked Obama Jr's mother up. If there is a legal marriage license with Stanley Ann, then perhaps Obama's father was a bigamist. There are just too many doubts about the entire matter out there and Obama isn't clearing any of them up with verified legal documents so I lean towards the idea there simply aren't any.
They are in full panic mode, as Fred Thompson noted, to them, this is hugh and series. Regular Americans, especially those who cannot be bothered with the blatherings of these yahoos ain't buying the guff.
Ow! That's gonna leave a mark! (I love it!)
Ya think?
Greta Van Susteren’s Hillary hubby switches to McCain...

I was not implying that Sarah should drop out of the race.
Knowing Sen. McCain that would never happen.
I simply stated that Obama was finished unless he could get Sarah to drop out.
Even the mob knew better than to go after their enemy's children.

In a perfect world...I know, believe me.
But you just said what your vote would be in a worst case scenario.
All votes count, and at this point, the electoral college thing is an excuse for a cop-out. Guess what? it’s a worst case scenario already, so do what you said you “would” - vote for McCain. Knowing what I now do, he does put our country first, and you don’t want to even imagine what Barack Obama will do to destroy it. No exaggeration.
That's why I said Barry O would be "unspeakably ghastly".
“That’s why I said Barry O would be “unspeakably ghastly”.
DW - alright, then! There are two choices Nov. 4th - vote for one of them, please.
