McCain Campaign: News Media Demanding DNA Testing of Palin Family
Tuesday, September 2, 2008 | Kristinn

Posted on 09/02/2008 8:04:10 PM PDT by kristinn

McCain presidential campaign strategist Steve Schmidt went on the record with the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz today, revealing the depths to which the mainstream media has sunk in their efforts to destroy the family of Republican vice presidential pick Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Schmidt said that the campaign has been deluged with demands from reporters that the Palin family submit to DNA testing to assuage baseless rumors promulgated by the Democratic party's favorite website, the Daily Kos.

Schmidt accused the media of being "on a mission to destroy" Sarah Palin.

Kurtz writes that Markos Moulitsas, the founder of the Daily Kos, believes the made up allegations against Palin and her daughter are legitimate. Kurtz fails to note that Moulitsas writes for the Post's sister publication, Newsweek.

Schmidt also said reporters are demanding to see the birth certificate for Palin's newborn.

The news media is treading on dangerous ground with their despicable behavior regarding the Palin family. They are arousing an anger in Americans all across the country who see themselves in the Palin family and are beyond outrage over how they have been trashed.

Can the ‘shall not be named tag’ invoked by closing the tag?

Pls dont draw any inferences about me or what I advocate.

what exactly are you inferring with that statement? are you saying you posted some completely random statement about journalists in russia for no reason? what sort of inference is one supposed to come away with?

These guys are beyond stupidity and being assholes.

im with you 100% there

In Russia it is a capital crime

not sure what that has to do with anything here, but thank God I live in America.. even if it means we have asshole reporters

Others think this pregnancy is made up in an attempt to show she isn’t Trig’s mother, and she will mysteriously “miscarry” in a few weeks.

Maybe this is hyperbole. But My point is if Barack and his buddies won and they had their America hating worldview fully implemented into law, the free speech they count on to spew their vile would not exist.

As in Russia now, offend the ruler of the State at mortal life's peril.

Something is very wrong with those poll numbers. I have been closely following the polls. After Obamas speech, where he should have gotten a pretty big bounce, according to the gushing media, McCain actually got a slight bounce. Then McCain picks Sarah Palin. The country goes wild. McCain gets 10 million dollars in donations overnight. The conservative movement finally comes on board the McCain camp. He should have gotten a bounce over that. But instead they are trying to tell us McCain lost 9 points in the polls? It just doesn’t feel right. Polls differing that much in such a short time usually follow something big. Obama lost ground after his convention speech. Where did his huge gain come from? Does this seem odd to anyone else?

This is a political campaign, and nobody does the nuts and bolts better than RATS.

We've got a week that should have been about the convention and the speeches, but this cr@p is sucking all the oxygen out of the room. You've got a lot of folks who get their news and opinions from the headlines and the nightly news. 98% of this stuff is cr@p, but it's being reported with a straight face by the MSM. There is a special place in HE!! reserved for reporters.

I think some are still surprised at the intensity of the RAT attack, and the complicity of the MSM. Shame on you.

This is a brilliant campaign, and no one does slime better than the Left and their willing helpers, the MSM.

Some journalists, Schmidt said, have demanded to see Trig’s
birth certificate, or have asked when Palin went into
labor and whether her contractions increased or decreased
as she traveled from Texas to an Alaskan hospital in her
home town, Wasilla. Others, he said, have asked whether
Palin’s eldest son, Track, who serves in the Army and is
deploying to Iraq, is a drug addict. “Categorically
false,” Schmidt said, adding: “This is crazy.” …

“dueling pistols can solve this... I volunteer to stand in for Todd and Sarah...

While dueling pistols are adequate, I prefer swords, so that I can take their "champion" apart slowly, in front of everyone's eyes. It would not be a pretty sight, but a darned sight better than the travesty I am witnessing now.

Lest anyone think that I couldn't to the aforementioned, I will state that I studied swordsmanship with the SCA for a decade. I believe that I would be more than sufficient, even at my age...

My studies were likewise in a broad spectrum, broadsword and shield, katana-style, rapier style, saber style... Whatever style they would want, I would be unafraid to meet them with.

Although its been some time since I last held a blade, and am these days in the early autumn of my life, I believe I would be sufficient unto the task...

What someone in McCain/Palin campaign could do is laugh at these people and say: “Oh you poor things, we all know what your problem is, you’re just stuck on stupid! Can we help you get unstuck?”!

I’m wondering if this person can send the money indirectly to an American, then the American can send it to the McCain/Pallin campaign on their behalf? Could they? Or would they have to disclose it?

I’m thinking that he’s tempted to do just that! But I’m wondering about McCain himself! I’m wondering if this is partly a design to get McCain mad. I’ve been impressed with the way McCain seems to have hung on to his own temper! He would act half insane in 2000! But he’s kept his temper well this time around.

I’m wondering if they’re hoping to get McCain riled, and to really blow his top! Then they can say “Oh gosh, look at that old man! He’s really crazy now!”, then sit and laugh at him and say he’s too insane to be president! Or they could be hoping he’ll have a stroke or something, and not be able to act as president, leave the race, and Obama would win by default! I wouldn’t put it past this evil, conniving bunch!

There is a lot we can do . Number one on the list is that we stop letting them kill us with our own money. By that I mean we stop going to see or renting their movies. We stop watching their propganda programs disguised as news programs. We cancel our subscriptions to their papers. As evidenced by their papers laying off people and the movie box offices revenue being down, we are hurting them some perhaps we can do more.

What is an outlier? I’m sorry to be asking such a dumb question but something really feels wrong about these numbers.

Hopefully someone didn't already answer this since I was last on FR. An outlier is a poll that is severely skewed for one reason or another, and lies outside (hence the term outlier) what is really going on. Prima facie evidence of an outlier is when there are multiple concurrent polls, and one is really different from the others.

Their only hope, and I say only, is for Sarah to drop out of the race.

Are you insane!?!?!? For Sarah to drop out cedes the election to Obama. In addition.......our side would NEVER, EVER, EVER, AGAIN be able to nominate ANYONE REMOTELY CONSERVATIVE!!!!!!!!!!! THe media hounds would attack THEM knowing it WORKS! The only way out of this is to FIGHT!
