I think McCain should take his bold move on choosing Palin to an unprecedented new level.
Screw a debate against Biden. Every sceptics concern is whether or not she’s capable of stepping into the presidency should something happen to him. Oh, and not to mention that she has yet to be compared to who she’s actually running against, Joe Biden, and has been constantly compared to Odumbo.
I think McCain should arrange a debate between Palin and Odumbo and put an end to the discussion once and for all.
The mere refusal to accept such a challenge would not look good for Odumbo.

In principle, I agree VEEP debates are a waste...
But given the cast of characters this time around: The more exposure Mr. Biden receives, the better the Repubs look, and the more exposure Mrs. Palin receives, the better the Repubs look --- I don't mind them so much...
Oh, there'll be a lot of talking and a lot of darts thrown by the MSM and dems, but the debate has already been won. Obama historic speech and his own VP pick have been relegated to the side line and are old history...in fact were old history as of Friday morning.

The problem with debates is the format, and the fact that the MSM are the moderators.

I agree! BTW, CNN did 2 shows Saturday evening, one on Obama, the other on McCain hosted by John King.
I refused to watch the Odumbo part but the McCain part was excellent. I never watch CNN but this caught my eye and I have to be honest in that CNN did do a very fair and fine job with it.
I just rented "Faith of My Father" from Netflix. It really was very powerful. This guy has been through more by the age of 30 than most of us will ever see in a lifetime.

What you are suggesting means making Sarah Palin the Candidate instead of McCain. As attractive as that may seem at the moment, it ain’t gonna happen.
Obama will NEVER go for it because he cannot be seen as worthy of less than the other presidential candidate.
