Well said, Dr.Dobson!!
Everyone has been affected by teen pregnancies somewhere in their families. Some you know because you see the kids come into the world and grow up. Others were kept quiet by abortions. I applaud the Palin’s decision. What they don’t need is criticism. What they do need are our prayers.
And it’s a tough walk, but it will only make them stronger people.
I’d like to see full inclusion become a choice for parents with special needs kids at all the schools.
Uh...Mary was married to Joseph, the carpenter.
???
Uh...James Dobson is the founder of Focus on the Family.
>>There is no such thing as a illegitimate child, there are only illegitimate parents.<<
You, my FRiend are a beautiful person!
What a wonderful thing to say!
I pray that Bristol Palin can find her way to a microphone and say,
Id just like to tell Mr. Obama, that Im NOT being punished with a baby.
Not at the time of the conception and not at the time Joseph was wondering if he should put her away quietly.
They were betrothed.
Amen to that!
LMAO
If the Palins were trying to hide Bristol, they would’ve left her in Wasilla.
Instead they brought her to the lower 48 for all to see.
Mary was not unwed, she was betrothed to Joseph. Read Deuteronomy 22: 23-24, which clearly refers to a "betrothed virgin" as being a wife.
I can still remember a Church Council meeting almost two decades ago, when, at its very conclusion a member announced that his 17 year old daughter was preganant...and said "you can throw me out if you wish".
The Council recoiled in horror at that thought and the Pastor went over and embraced the embarassed grandfather-to-be.
Other than blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, all sins are on equal footing, and if a person has broken one law, they have broken the whole law. There must be a sacrifice for sin, and Jesus Christ is our sacrifice for sin, if we accept him.
Well, Mary wasn’t married to Joseph at the time that her pregnancy was detected. And the father was unknown at that moment. But I’d say Joseph did the right thing...
What a classy and Christian statement from James Dobson! Very nice!
How can she be a hypocrite when she walks the walk? Twice in less than a year.
It couldn’t have been said any better.
She was betrothed, but the pregnancy was sure a shock to Joseph, so this was clearly not the normal sequence of events.
Contrast this with BHO’s statement: “If my daughter makes a mistake, I don’t want her punished with a baby.” As Hugh Hewitt observed in his blog, there couldn’t be a clearer differnece between conservatives and liberals than this one.
