Wow. I have to praise Obama for warning his followers to not take the low road. (Not that they won't anyway.) I noted already that Palin's daughter's situation is not much different from Obama's mother. I am sure others will notice that too. Salin Palin's daughter should not be a political football.

Good post. Sarah Palin is doing everything right by my book. She is human, but has the moral character to make the correct decisions. I am so tired of all the holier than thou judgements being made here today on FR. It is a bad situation that is a personal family matter. It is also a bad situation that is being handled correctly.

Its good that they are getting married. And thats they way it should be. It is a good testament to their standards. But this would not have happened if Mr. Palin would have installed this one simple rule...

Teenagers do not go out on dates alone. And they dont spend time alone. No exceptions.

Like my preacher says... If you take two young healthy teenagers and let them spend time alone don't be suprised if a baby is on the way.

This makes his likely conception date app November 4, 1960.

Ann Dunham, Barack's mother, was born November 29, 1942. Ergo Ann Dunham was 17 years old when Barack was conceived.

What's more, Ann wasn't married to Barack Obama Sr. until February 2, 1961.

So Barack was born to a mother who was 17 years old and unmarried at the time of his conception.

The fact it happened to the daughter of a person running for VP on the Republican ticket seems to be the issue for everyone. It’s not unlike Dick Cheney having a lesbian daughter.

Actually...with the Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy...everyone wanted her fired from her show and thought she was going to hell (even though, unlike Bristol Palin, has her own finances to raise the child herself).

Obviously McCain and his vetters knew this would be a problem..which is why they didnt release this info when they announced Palin as the nominee last week.
