That Sarah Palin rumor
Knoxville News Sentinel, TN ^ | 8.31.08 | Katie Allison Granju

Bloggers

here

and here ] are all over the theory that Sarah Palin's four-month-old baby may actually be her grandchild - the son of her 16-year-old daughter, who missed most of the last school year with what the family said was mononucleosis.

[ snip ]

My first thought is that this sort of scrutiny has to be really hard on the 16-year-old girl in question. And my second thought was that IF this turns out to be true, I'll find it a really scary example - perhaps the most scary example of anything I've seen in a long time - of a politician who would do anything to get elected.

[ snip ]

And if this IS true, Sarah Palin has opened her daughter up to a rough ride by exposing her family to the national press. The mainstream media only recently found itself badly burned when tabloids and bloggers completely scooped them on a salacious rumor (John Edwards' affair) that turned out to be 100% true. You can bet the press won't let this happen again, and I guarantee you that there are reporters in Alaska right this minute, poring over school, birth, and travel records, as well as looking at every photo of this family that they can get their hands on.

I can’t believe how silly this rumor is. Aside from anything else, the rate of young girls who have Down syndrome babies is almost zip, whereas in the 44-yo category, it is a FIFTY PERCENT rate for messed-up-DNA-related birth defects (there are others besides Down syndrome, some of them immediately lethal).

Moron libs.

That’s ridiculous. That pic is from 2006. The baby was born in April 2008.

“In 1972, the New Yorker’s Pauline Kael infamously said, “I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know. They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel them.””

Yup, it’s shaping up like 1984 or 1972. The liberal Obama supporters are like the liberal McGovern supporters of 1972.

The liberal Obama supporters love Obama’s bio, which Normal Americans (today’s “Silent Majority”) find downright bizarre.

Add the outstanding Sarah Palin, and there’s a very realistic chance of a McCain victory in the 55-45 / 60-40 range.

I should add, ot a bit, that I really enjoy debating Obama supporters in the presence of undecideds. I don’t have to debate the merits of Socialism, which can be tiresome. I prefer simple statements like “I don’t think American is ready for an Indonesian Muslim President.”

The Obama supporters freak out, I have to backtrack a little. “Ok, well, he definitely was a Muslim, and he definitely was an Indonesian Citizen, and his name was Barry Soetoro at the time.”

That line of argumentation would be less effective if the undecideds are Indonesian Muslims.

Stupid Daily Kos folks are using this picture as the alleged pregnancy picture. I didn't know that it takes 20 months to bring a baby to term.

What a disgrace they are. Then again, neither reading nor comprehension is part of a true liberal educational philosophy that is more concerned with teaching diversity and tolerance (e.g. Heather has Two Mommies).

Sarah Palin at home with her family in Wasilla, Alaska in 2006. From left is Piper, 5, husband Todd, Willow, 12, and at right is Bristol, 16. Not pictured is Palin's son Track, 17. Trig Palin was born in 2008.

A cheap, dirty, smear from the left. Certainly not expected, but these scum really need to be taught a lesson.

From the article:

There were several of us PolarTRECers waiting in the Fairbanks, AK airport to catch our planes home. We were chatting about all we had learned when Kristen Timm, ARCUS administrator said “ Look, there is the Hottest Governor in the United States” as she has been publicly deemed by media and fans.

Of course I had to check out the “Hottest Governor in the US” and quickly turned to see her pregnant (she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote. Then it struck me as odd. Why is the Governor of Alaska in the airport and preparing to get onto my commercial flight?

Yes, they do and they are terribly embarrassed about it. Girls that age are so sensitive about their looks. I feel so sorry for her. She is too young and innocent for a bunch of angry souless people to destroy her life. I know people will say oh good grief its not that bad. But to a 17 yr old it is that bad.

They are from a small town where every body knows every body's business.

LOL! WAY too true! And you're exactly right, if there were ANY substance to the rumor, it would have been dragged up during the campaign by her opponents, especially the Repubs. she'd been pi$$ing off for years!

This sounds like the McCain had a black child rumor. He does, she’s adopted from India from some orphanage. This dog will not hunt.

As I understand it Sarah had to leave the Conference of Governors in Texas - where she met Senator McCain - early, because she was going into premature labor.

If this sleazy article is true - what an actress!

Shows how scared the libs are of her.

She looks nothing like Hubbel. Chelsea very strongly resembles her maternal grandmother.

Lighten up Francis.

Not interested in lightening up. I'm profoundly sick of the hypocrisy and mindless mudslinging against innocents on both sides of the political fence. Politicians are fair game. Their kids are not. Conservatives claim to be better than the gutter Rats on the Left. Prove it.

I thought children were 'off limits". Palin needs to serve notice on them, right out of the chute, to keep their filthy hands off of her daughter.

I realise that Gov. Palin herself can't sue -- but why not her daughter; she is not a 'public person' and should have full protection from these vermin for their slander and libel.

Ping to a couple of our resident experts in the field.       :^)

Yep, that’s the same one I saw over at DU, where many so-called moms - some with pretty masculine-sounding usernames, were saying that Bristol was definitely pregnant. Give me a break!

I think they’re all wannabe Buckheads, seeking to expose a Rathergate type of scandal to bring down McCain/Palin.

I didn't know that it takes 20 months to bring a baby to term.

It depends on how many times they abort first.
