I saw a poll the other day, and abortion as an issue hardly registers as a concern with women voters.

If there is any confusion as to who Palin is, its because of the media’s typical studious refusal to acknowledge any GOP victory anywhere in the country, even a state governorship.

She’s only a puzzle to those who watch nothing but CNN or read the San Jose News.

I agree. If those of us not in the Beltway know who Sarah Palin is, why don’t those working on our tab? FR has been talking about Palin for ages and I’m just a schlep living in flyover country. It should be mandatory that students log onto FreeRepublic daily for proper education!

Typical lib elite response: “Alaska? That’s not even flyover country!”

“Silicon Valley Democrats and even some Republicans scratching their heads Friday.” ..?

Lather Risen Repeat

Silicone Valley isn't a total loss, I know a couple of true conservatives up there. Remember this is a story from a newspaper. News papers don't let facts get in the way of their story.

McCains Motives:

He has proven in the last few weeks that he is in charge of his campaign. No flip flopping according to advisors wishes. He is even indirectly teaming with PACS that show things liike the Ayers video. He is leading.

He has proven in the last few weeks that he is a strategist at the master level, capable of taking on mavins like Pooty Poot, and Ahaminajihad internationally. He also called for the surge in Iraq perfectly. Some say without John it would not have happened. McCain proves that even as a Senator he CAN move the machine. Now he is also proving that he will move it in the right direction.

And he has proven that he understands how geniune creative politics works, by addressing the issue of Yin-Yang.Result , he has for the first time in our nations history, achieved a balance on a presidential ticket between the masculine and the feminine. Thats TRULY magnetic.

McCain's motive has been to prove to the American people that he is a wise, decisive, and effecive commander in Chief, through action, not just talk.

That has been McCains motive.

I believe he has succeeded.

Let us wait an see. It is a long shot but the game isn’t over. I still have a strong feeling that Obama is going to implode under the sheer weight of his undeserved optimism. McCain will win more states than George W Bush before this is over that I am certain.

This Jason Blair style/bs posing as news is another prime example of why the San Jose Jerkery is sliding into the left wing cess pool of oblivion.

Who’s she?” asked Democrat and former San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer. “..... She’s pro-life and it seems she’d oppose virtually everything Hillary talked about during the campaign.”

Mz. Hammer doesn’t know who she is, but sure knows where she stands?

Let’s take a wild guess: Mz. Hammer is a Dem ???

It seems they’re more concerned about a woman breaking the glass ceiling than they are on certain social positions.

My outlook on wimmin has become more nuanced. I just realized the Hillary crowd and the NOW crowd are not one and the same. NOW is still all about abortion. For that reason they will shriek at Sarah P. until the last day of her 8 year presidency. The Hillary gals, or at least a sizable portion of them, just want women in power. Live and learn.

“”Who’s she?” asked Democrat and former San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer.”

Shoot. I worked in San Jose for four years, leaving the area in October 2002, and I have never heard of San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer, much less FORMER Mayor. Did she just retire? Damn, where have I been?

Also, why am I not surprised that Silicon Valley Democrats know nothing or very little about Gov. Palin? They are so ignorant about what this country stand for they probably need visual assistance (or teleprompter for some) to recite the ‘Pledge of Allegiance’.

I don’t expect Democrats to even know that there are 50 — not 57 — states in the Union because a lot of them are just so busy researching dirt on Republicans they don’t have time to study real facts.

The front page of the Merc really pi$$ed me off this morning. The big headline typically poses the negative question “Why Sarah Palin?” rather than lauding this incredible choice as a big step for women and the nation.

Republican registration in many SV towns is much higher than you would think.
