Geraldine Ferraro predicts many Hillary supporters will vote for Palin
Fox News | 8/29/08

Posted on 08/29/2008 12:14:41 PM PDT by pabianice

Ferraro just interviewed by phone. Predicted that as many as 1/3 of Hillary voters will switch to vote for McCain because Palin is his running mate. Indicates that millions of women feel Hillary was "left out to dry," never considered for Obama's VP. Says anger at Obama not assuaged by DNC Convention platitudes...

Media talking heads on MSNBC and CNN have already started to talk Palin down.

They didn’t listen when the Hillary Pantsuit Brigade complained about the media dissing Hillary and fawning over Obama.

If the media persists in this attitude (and they will) they will drive more and more disgruntled Hillary supporters to Sarah each time they appear to show disrespect.

Many longtime democrat females who have worked their way up in the party might not risk their liberal creds by speaking openly about splitting the ticket.
But when they get in the voting booth and close the curtain many will vote for Palin.

If we go state-by-state...I think McCain gained a 20-percent win in fifteen states now, with this announcement. I’ll even make an educated guess that he gained another five to eight percent in the second group of fifteen states. By a national vote...Obama can’t come close at this point. So it’ll be curious how badly the election goes from this point on for the Democrats.

I think that's a reference to the DNC holding the first three days of its convention at the Pepsi Center.

Never ever underestimate the memory-span of the Clintons. If they, for one moment, think Barack is a potential two-term-candidate, they are going to work very quietly behind the scenes to push their voters to McCain and set up a bona fide Clinton/Palin showdown in 2012.

Seriously. McCain is going to win, and the Clintons are going to help him do it.

I predict that every woman in the USA in her right mind will vote for John McCain.

Lady Palin is rather the statement of a lifetime for women.

She will admired around the globe.

Well, it’s moot now, as the forum moderator over at Hillaryclinton.com is now allowing only registered users to enter. But, trust me, most of the posters over there were even more enthusiastic about the pick than Freepers. Their reactions were amazing. Lots of the posters were talking about crying tears of joy!

“Having Palin on the ticket is likely to make some of them who would have voted for McCain stay home altogether.”

Ridiculous. Anyone who “would have voted for McCain” already could only have been turned off by a pro-choice or donk pick. This won’t lose one of those voters. It will, however, help draw the pro-life crowd, the conservative base, the “Hillary supporters for McCain” crowd, the “we need a Washington outsider” crowd, the corruption fighter crowd (in her short tenure as Alaska’s Governor, Palin really cleaned house), etc.

The timing is great. It knocks Obama off the front pages, though the press is desperate to get him back in front of the voters.

AOL commie news is running polls asking who are the rising stars among Democrats. What a bunch of zombies.

Great line!!!!!!
I have been hoping McCain would pick her. I think the women have had enough. Lincoln freed the slaves, Republicans passed civil rights, good chance the first women president will be a Republican too.He did exactly what he needed to do. I am not a McCain fan but he winked at us
And it is time to make sure Obummer the commie does not set us back 50 years. “If you don't have boots the gov. Is going to give em to ya and pull them up for you to. Thanks I'll go barefoot!

Maybe yes, maybe no.

Let's not forget that your typical Dem *female*, let alone Hillary supporter, looks more like a Bag Woman or 'Jake The Plumber' than Gov Sarah Palin -- who just happens to be Babe-A-Licious hot. As such, Hill's Pants Suit Brigade may be turned off, or out right angry with Green Eyed Jealousy over Gov Palin's looks.

Then again, Gov Palin may pick up some single Male Dem voters. Those that aren't flaming gay anyway -- all five of 'em.
