Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:23:20 AM PDT by flyfree

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

As a mother of five, I think she’s got to be a butt kicker! (Ahem — coming from a mother of five).

I’m thinking maybe he should’ve ran for Mayor of D.C.

LOL, or New Orleans. No wait, they've already their own arrogant bozo (who's probably booking a flight to higher ground as we speak).

I want to see Palin for President in 4 or 8 years. That's my gamble here. And I can live with McCain until then.

Exactly! This could mean a great future for the republican party, which is the ONLY hope of pushing back the drive to socialism.

That's something that Bush has been criminally negligent on.

It's the most delicious bit of irony that one of the republicans most despised by the conservative base of the party has done more to possibly strengthen the party and eventually push it to the right than anything Bush did in eight years as president.

While I am concerned that the
Democrats can hound Palin on “inexperience”, imagine how much worse we would feel had the choice been Lieberman or Ridge or Romney too!

She has way more practical experience, and accomplishments than Obama already. If you haven’t gotten the chance I would suggest going to Wiki, or McCain’s site to read up on her a bit. She may just surprise you.

I’m not at all worried about the Democrat attacks on her. I say go for it.

All the attacks in the world by them will only make them appear mean spirited and ant-feminist. They have no other way to counter this choice and it caught them completely by surprise.

This is coming from a former Democrat.

If we really respect LIFE then we should honor that MOTHER’S have a greater calling then trying to appease a changing world that Women have to be all things....

Absurd. Are you saying that she and her husband are capable of doing both? Why don't you just assert that they require government funded day care? Why do you suggest that people with great gifts are incapable?

It resulted in just as much happiness for small government libertarians as well. Now we have a farm system for young prospects. Palin for President in 2016. She makes everyone happy.

Without even reading it I can tell you that her lesbian feminist supporters are angry at McCain and I highly doubt will vote for him.

I was thinking about this today. My lesbian SIL has a major chip on her shoulder about the way women are treated in our society, or at least the way she perceives it to be. Of course Hillary was her choice. It's going to be great fun asking her if her choice is now Sarah Palin.

For those who have been holding back, there are only 2 more days to donate to the McCain-Palin ticket. He then goes onto federal funds only.

How do we do that?
