Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:23:20 AM PDT by flyfree

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

I STILL detest the worthless jerk ... you don't change what McClame is .... but before there was not a chance voting for him ..... I will still not vote for him, but will vote for his by far better half.

I am abandoning my hard stance against voting this year.

As long as McCain promises to resign as soon as he and Sarah are sworn in I will not only vote for the ticket, I will send them money.

People concerned about Sarah being one heartbeat away from the presidency should consider the fact that Nancy Piglosi is only TWO HEARTBEATS away.

How can a sane person make a rational arguement against Sarah and for Obama based on experience and demonstrated ability?

They cannot. That is why they are democrats - no sanity test required.

How DARE you impugn her devotion to her children... She is doing what needs to be done to ensure they grow up and are able to live with THEIR families in a FREE and STRONG nation.

You’ve been here for less than 3 months and you have the NERVE to insult a good conservative woman like that? What about the child’s FATHER - is he not good enough to be there for his children? Are men somehow inferior - he SUPPORTS his wife, and if HE is fine with it you have NO RIGHT to even SPEAK about it.

If she were a man you would NEVER say such things no matter how many children he had, what kind of special needs they had, etc... etc...

I think you are only here to cause trouble. Tell you what... Go check out this site: http://www.democraticunderground.com — I think you’ll find your sentiments are better accepted there because to them equality, is all JUST WORDS.

Sarah Palin - pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-drilling, small government, strong defense, fiscal conservative, butt kicker. Hope some of it rubs off on McCain. And an Army Mom to boot! I may even be able to support this ticket.

I'm totally with you. I cannot believe what a difference this choice made to me.

Uh..No...
I never said that..I am saying that a Baby who has Down’s Syndrome needs alot of care....I see my sister care for her Down Syndrome baby, she is with her 24/7 that is the time that is needed, she has helped her daughter very much with time and care...That is liberal thinking???I don’t think so..I think liberals would be more inclined to put the child in a home or have a nurse come in....

Probably the best fall-out for us will be to focus on BHO’s ideas for the future, not his (lack of) accomplishments in the past. As Palin shows, you can be a great candidate without having a milelong resume, and the sooner we focus on that the sooner we will stop fighting the wrong battle and get McCain elected.

I am very excited about McCain's choice of Sarah Palin for VP. She is GREAT!!!

I have been reading through the forum at www.hillaryclitonforum.net and it looks like they are just as excited as I am. It looks like people are starting to see that the Republican party is not the evil bigoted people that they thought, but the party of Lincoln that fought to end slavery and has always been pro-women and pro-people (even people who haven't yet been born — pro-life).

McCain / Palin ‘08 have my enthusiastic vote.

Ws there a reason he did not choose Gov Huckabee?

Maybe McCain wanted to get elected. How's that for a reason?

You must be a troll.

As governor of Alaska — and the most popular governor in the US, Palin has been pushing to drill ANWR. The choice of her makes me VERY happy.

Huckabee did NOT have truly conservative positions and values, particularly on fiscal issues.
