Nuestra America Reviews Democrats Day 1 John McCain Makes Major Headline With Latino Voters Comprehensive Comparison In 8 States Unveiled Today

New York, NY - Nuestra America, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the political influence of Latino's by registering them to vote, educating them about the issues, and informing them where the candidates stand on the issues, highlighted important moments during the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado.

Adam Alonso, the executive director of Nuestra America, said, "The first day of the Democratic National Convention highlighted many of the issues concerning Latinos this election year. These issues include the strength of the economy, access to health care, quality education, and foreign policy."

Alonso also noted, "Former President Jimmy Carter, Senator Ted Kennedy, and Michelle Obama very eloquently described the Democratic vision for America and Latinos are listening for solutions to America's most pressing policy issues. It was especially inspiring to hear Miguel Del Valle the City Clerk of Chicago, Illinois describe his efforts to register Latino voters for the last several decades."

Alonso continued, "The McCain campaign was not to be out dueled and announced that Daddy Yankee has endorsed the Senator's presidential campaign. This endorsement reflects the diversity within the Latino community in this year's presidential election and it demonstrates how important the presidential candidates view the Latino vote." Daddy Yankee is a Latin Grammy Award winning reggaeton recording artist and made international headlines in 2004 with his hit "Gasolina".

It should be noted that Colorado the home for the Democratic National Convention is one of Nuestra America's targeted states this year. Colorado has the 8th largest Latino population in the United States, with over 927,000 Latino residents and is home to U.S. Senator Ken Salazar, one of three Hispanic United States Senators. Alonso noted, "Colorado is in play at the presidential level and Latinos will hold a key role in who wins Colorado's 9 electoral votes."

Colorado is one of eight states announced last week as key states for Nuestra America this election year. The others include New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, California, and Texas. Alonso mentioned in the announcement, "The U.S. Latino population is no longer concentrated in a handful of cities, but rather is spread across the country. Our target list takes into account the diaspora that has occurred over the last two decades while energizing the traditional Latino states."

Nuestra America unveiled The Passion Index for its 8 targeted states earlier today. The Passion Index uses 50 different policy issues and their relative passion about each issue to determine its score. Voters are able to use their Passion Index to determine whether they should support a particular candidate in an election. The issues range from Foreign and Military Policy, Domestic Social Policy, Domestic Economic Policy, and Immigration.

Sue Rodriguez, Membership Coordinator, said, "The Passion Index is a fun and interactive way for our members to see which candidates they are most passionate about." The Passion Index for the presidential race is already available to all members.

Alonso concluded by saying, "Latinos throughout the country are looking forward to hearing from Senator Hilary Clinton this evening." Latinos were very supportive of Senator Clinton's presidential campaign this spring.

Nuestra America announced its online National Voter Registration Drive through its website. Nuestra America is also canvassing sporting events, cultural events, college campuses and beaches throughout the summer in order to register people to vote. Nuestra America's website offers the ability to register to vote in each of the 50 states and highlights where each candidate for Federal Office stands on 50 different issues.

Additionally, Nuestra America will not only help register people to vote, educate them on the issues, but will be working throughout the country to ensure their voices are heard on Election Day. For more information about Nuestra America, please visit their website www.NuestraAmerica2008.com.

Nothing here about reconquista, forged documents, multiple ID's, stolen SS nos, voting absentee in Mexico, then crossing the border to vote in multiple districts using several identies ....and so on and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.

Get out your barf bags, Americans.

Why is this a barf bag? Why should not Republicans welcome Latino voters to conservative ideals like pro Life orientation and a strong opposition to Russian oil-seeking adventures and excess (any growth stronger than US growth is excess) China growth?

Why would Hispanics who have waited so long to be the top minority in America, turn the White House over to a Black man? They won’t.

“This endorsement reflects the diversity within the Latino community in this year’s presidential election “

Diversity? An open border democrat vs. an open border republican. Yeah, some diversity.

Definition of “diversity:”

Hyphenates with dual loyalties and hidden agendas, whining and play-acting as victims, to get their greedy hands on US tax dollars.

Wanna bet? The dems always get a greater majority of hispanic vote. It doesn't matter if he's black.
