Ayers Head
Wall Street Journal ^ | August 289, 2008 | WSJ

Barack Obama's supporters insist that an ad from a conservative group attacking his ties to unrepentant 1970s radical William Ayers is irrelevant to the campaign. Cass Sunstein, a University of Chicago law professor and close friend of Mr. Obama, says that while he is "very disturbed by [Mr. Ayers'] past and by his refusal to disavow what the did . . . the implications of this for Obama are zero."

You wouldn't know that from the reaction of the Obama campaign. Yesterday, it took the extraordinary step of airing a response to the Ayers ad, which links Mr. Obama to the former Weather Underground organizer who took credit for a series of non-fatal bombings at the U.S. Capitol and Pentagon during the Vietnam War era. "With all our problems, why is John McCain talking about the 60s, trying to link Barack Obama to radical Bill Ayers?" the Obama ad asks. "McCain knows Obama denounced Ayers' crimes, committed when Obama was just 8 years old."

need to keep hammering this on him.

Spoke to a woman yesterday who said that she had neevr heard about this and it was republcians who were just all makking it up. When I gave her evidence she was stunned.

Seems the MSM have done a good job of covering it up so we need to hammer this home for weeks

Michelle Robinson, in 1988, worked with Bernadine Dhorn at the same law firm in Chicago. It’s largest client was a company headed up by Bill Ayers uncle.

In 1989 Barack Obama went to work there as an intern at the very same law firm.

Dhorn and Ayres have known the Obamas for at least twenty years. They share the same admiration for Alinsky and radical left-wing politics.

So, just how detestible does someone have to be before Obama decides he shouldn't associate with the individual?

Somewhat detestible?

Detestible?

Very detestible?

A democrat?

> “With all our problems, why is John McCain talking about

Because Ayers is a TERRORIST and terroism is a valid campaign issue.

> “McCain knows Obama denounced Ayers’ crimes, committed
> when Obama was just 8 years old.”

Ayers has NOT renounced his crimes, but rather has said that he didn’t commit *ENOUGH* terrorism! And this in an interview published in the NY Times on the morning of the destruction of the WTC, accompanied by a photo of Ayers trampling an American flag.

And while Ayers has not renounced his crimes, Obama has not renounced Ayers.

Obama spent 5 years working closely with Ayers wasting a 51 MILLION dollar federal grant on a project that was an ABJECT FAILURE.

THIS IS A CAMPAIGN ISSUE!

IT MUST BE SHOUTED FROM THE ROOFTOPS, if the MSM doesn’t broadcast it.

I think it will stick- and there amy be more to come.

Regardless of what happens with Ayers there’s a significant lesson the McCain campaign MUST heed. This is the Chicago Way and the Saul Alinsky Way. There is an Obama ground game in place from the primary season that is FORMIDABLE.

When I gave her evidence she was stunned.

That's atypical of rank & file dhimmirats - they usually imply that you're lying, your sources are lying, or that there is another explanation.

Live in SW Ohio in the greater Cincinnati area ... saw this ad for the first time 20 minutes ago on local TV. Going to be difficult for BO to dodge this bullet.

Ayers’ Weathermen tried to kill New York State Supreme Court Chief Justice Murtagh and his family on February 21, 1970. Alert neighbors fought the firebomb flames with snow and helped the family escape death. Since then, Ayers has said, “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.” For his attempted kid-killing, I’d like to kill Ayers and co-terrorist wife Dohrn. I know I shouldn’t, and I know Jesus wouldn’t, but something should be done.

The whole “crmes committed forty years ago” thing is a vile canard. They were still active in the ‘80’s.

That prick, Bill Clinton, pardoned their accomplices.

I'm not sure there is any more room left under the bus. But if there is I would advise Bill Ayers to be prepared for his new home.

“very disturbed by [Mr. Ayers’] past and by his refusal to disavow what the did . . . the implications of this for Obama are zero.”

BS. Every friend and mentor of Obama is a leftist radical. Is there a pattern here?

The Ugh-Bummer connection with radical Ayers is concrete and solid...and the decision of stations to not carry the ad is a further indictment!

[ So, just how detestible does someone have to be before Obama decides he shouldn’t associate with the individual? ]

Detestable enough to lower his poll ratings.

And sadly, that is the only “bottom” Obama knows.

I am beginning to feel sorry for the man-child: a scolding wife; miserable friends, etc.

It looks like our side managed to lead Barry Hussein into the "Do you deny that you beat your wife" trap. LOLOL.

People see Barry's ad and they are going to ask who is this Ayers guy and why was he your friend.
